I’m not even hitting the mobs I have to walk through the blood pools and they’re dying sometimes the moment they spawn making this fight impossible.
You are making sure to take off talents and gear that passively kill for you, right?
Ahhahahaa! I still have the macro from hell on my rogue from H Spine that got me through that fight! Have fun!
They need to fix the fight where it’s not so much a pain to do.
As far as I’m concerned, it was pretty well ‘fixed’ once they nerfed it to only require one blood per explosion instead of nine.
But apparently they only did that for LFR and heroic. Normal you do still need nine stacks. Blizz works in mysterious ways.
Yeah. Especially if you get knocked off and have to restart the fight from scratch. Ridiculous.
In particular, the Seabed Leviathan’s Citrine in their Cyrce’s Circlet will automatically damage attackers while above 80% health, and both the Thunderlord’s Crackling Citrine and the ability in their DISC will cause their abilities to zap random targets.
Funnily enough, when I ran it on an alt the other day, I did it knowing full well I had the Shadowed Essence equipped and even with it randomly killing stuff, I was still able to complete the encounter without ‘wasting’ any amalgamations. I never would’ve been able to do that if I still needed nine stacks.
They what?!
Yeah, they made it easier. They decreased the number of drakes you have to kill before Ultraxion too.
I always just leave my raid difficulty on mythic maybe I should try it on heroic.
its a skill issue.
like an auto kill skill issue that needs to be disabled before doing it. removing gear, talents etc so low level things dont just explode from having a heart attack at the mere sight of you.
in any case, Spine of Deathwing still causing people trouble multiple expansions later seems like a “working as intended” sort of thing.
Just remove the spine encounter so the whole thing will be super easy, barely an inconvenience.
It’s been a while since I’ve tried zoning into an instance that doesn’t have a mythic difficulty available. Does it default to normal? If so, that could certainly explain why the encounter was so annoying.
Take the Disc belt off if you have it equipped.
And make sure you don’t have any talents or abilities that might activate when fighting or when you’re attacked.
Heroic only need 1 blood for it to go nuclear, normal 9
If only they also included a “Skip the NPC roleplay” button, heh.
So many raids have goofy mechanics that don’t work properly now and blizzard does nothing about it here’s this event where you’re going to go see how much we left the past to rot.
You’re wearing two different items that randomly hit enemies with lightning… Come on you didn’t even stop to use your brain for two seconds before posting.
They don’t have the people to fix it. Every time the bean counters need to show “growth” to stockholders, a bunch of people at Blizzard lose their paycheques.
