Noticed some people suggesting a glaivemaster spec. Seems a little too generic to be a whole spec.
Wouldn’t Spellbreakers make more sense?
I mean, Demon Hunters and Spellbreakers are both on the same group, as “magic manipulators”, specialists in countering magic. Both used to burn mana. Both wield glaives. Both are of elven origin. The main difference is that DHs focus on demons and Spellbreakers counter magic in general.
This could be a way to give Blood Elves a piece of the class background, which, so far, is completely Night Elven.
How would it work?
- Called Spellbreaker or Felbreaker.
- In this spec, DH could wield a shield and a glaive (or another weapon) or dual glaives, as usual.
- Int could be its main stat.
- Has mana and fury. (I’d like this for all specs, btw)
- Ranged DPS/support, hurls glaives at enemies and use magic manipulating spells. Does physical and spell damage.
- Resembles Evoker but with way less casts and 30yrd,
- AoE mostly through bounces. Spells kinda resemble Chain Lightning.
- Has a flexible type of Spellsteal (dispels a buff from an enemy and handles it to an ally within 30yrd or vice-versa)
- Immolation Aura can be cast on allies and enemies.
- Brand enemies to reduce damage to the group. That sort of stuff, y’know.
- Darkness gets some anti-magic mechanics.
That sort of stuff.
Hey, if we get Void Elves and Nightborne in the future, this stuff will fit like a glove.
