heres the idea. we need to get rid of gold from this bloated economy. why not make the whole spell book with various cosmetic changes a gold sink?
a modern look at a old feature, class trainers currently have no use. lets make it useful again.
maybe even add some new quests?
we have a gold sink right now the new items from the BMAH that is a vendor also
I agree, we need more mandatory gold sinks.
I would pay 10k gold for a way to make my shadow word: pain surround the creature with floating receipts.
I read that as floating recipes
The one time you used the low fat cream insteaaaaaaadd, how shameful, and missing that full rich flaaaavooourrr
I love that I would pay 11k for them to be real recipes (but with terrible instructions) Also weird substitutions like applesauce instead of egg
No thanks, I rather have player housing as a gold sink instead.
I’d say nah. My monk is levelling in MoP right now and he just dinged 34 way out in some jungle in the middle of nowhere. I’d hate to have to back track all the way to a trainer just because I took Ring of Peace on the talent tree. But if we want to talk cosmetics to spells, I’d be alright with that.
more cosmetics would help
Super Flaming Rampaging! Purple death skulls surround me as I reach within to unleash my rage and fury upon all foes in my path! The ground cracks as I swing down or heroic leap, and my battle shout makes my body glow bright red! Furious fury!
You will get people using rank 1 spells in your M+ either out of protest or not knowing.
So no.
no going to trainer every 2 levels was not fun and should never return
exactly. repair bills and transmog dont go enough. we need the proper 1k for tier 1 spell. tier 2 2k. tier 3 4k. after that just straight up cosmetics costing 8k each and bam. people will be draining. depending on how cool the cosmetic is for that given spell.
too realistic. cant work for a fantasy game.
deal?
yet lets have more ontop of that.
mandatory ones.
portalable trainer?
like for that monk. a celestial appears. at a click of a ability.
warlock. demon homie.
but that in its own right would be a gold sink. of lets say, 100k " bind on account " spell?
fantastic four flame on xD
it being sudo cheap like 1, 2, 4, k for each spell it should be right to mandate it as a pre req to join m+. edit : like that thing in heroic that you needed before lfg heroic unlocked.
maybe add larger gold at the end of m+ to balance it out? more sweetner for the poors.
I don’t know if a “portable trainer” is quite right either, as I do agree with you in that the trainers need something useful besides sending us to the proving grounds or on some low level quest, usually to Shadow Fang Keep. Personally I think you’re on the right track with the cosmetic flair idea. Sinking gold into abilities, IMHO, though, was a PiTA way back when, it would be a PiTA now and it’s one of the reasons I don’t do a whole lot in Classic. But I would 100 percent support the idea of sinking gold into different visual flairs for those abilities. For instance, me being Balance at the moment, if I could go to Celestine, or another Druid trainer to get many of my spells to look a little more nature-y and a little less cosmic astro moon-batty, I’d gladly sink gold into that. I don’t know that the devs would want to spend time on something like that, though, but then again this is one of those hypothetical things that probably won’t ever happen either way.
Please, glyphs are all inscriptionists have left, don’t do this to us.
You had me at cosmetic changes.
Crap, then there’s this I didn’t think of that.
5k everytime you enter an arena or BG. You get it back if your side wins.
They could also stop listing multiple 600+ gold quests every 3 days.
I did 3 quests that gave 600+g today along with 6 dragon racing quests that also give 550 each
Gold is practically raining from the sky these days
