Please fix this. For some reason the spell pushback is WAY too high currently compared to what it should be, and what it currently is on cataclysm. This is especially noticeable when pets / multiple enemies are hitting you as well, or if a hunter stampedes you then you pretty much can’t get a cast off at all. It actually looks like TBC spell pushback which feels awful for how much faster MoP is and I haven’t seen many people talking about it.
EDIT: Here is a side by side comparison video with how it originally worked, and how it is currently working right now.

As you can see, in the first clip (taken from original 5.4), spells are being pushed back by 0.2 / 0.3 seconds twice, for a total of 0.5 seconds of pushback. On live, spells are being pushed back by 0.5 seconds twice, for a total of 1 second of pushback. It’s literally twice as much as it should be.

Do you have a video of this happening?
What spell were you casting?
At the moment it is following the rule of pushback twice and then you can’t be pushed back again which is Wrath and onwards rule.
There may be an outlier or something but I had a Hunter cast 10 Stampedes on me and it pushed me back twice and that was it on every spellcast.
I’m talking about the amount that the spell is getting pushed back. It looks like they’re getting pushed back twice as much as they should. Go back and look at any old MoP videos, at this point in the game spell pushback is supposed to be almost zero. It’s also minimal on Cata so I’m assuming this is a bug.
Yeah I’ve noticed this too, but it seems to be mainly affecting warlocks and not other classes though. Other classes have a “spell pushback reduced by 70%” passive, like mages burning soul, and priests divine focus passives. Warlocks don’t have this passive so their spell pushback is on levels of classic/tbc level. Back in original MoP though they had reduced spell pushback like the other classes so maybe it’s because Blizzard probably reduced spell pushback across the board for all classes in MoP and that’s the part that’s not working.

Here is a video comparison I made just now. It’s pushing back spells twice as much as it should.

Death knight pets seem to be one of the biggest offenders for spell pushback, even on my holy pala a ghoul pet makes casting pretty rough.

Yeah I’ve noticed this with pets in general but dk pets are super bad. It’s also a random amount of spell pushback every single time, instead of just a set 0.5s. Sometimes it’s 0.4, I’ve had some as high as 0.6 or 0.7. No idea what causes this but it’s awful
Both paladins and warlocks are missing a baseline 70% pushback reduction passive when every other class has one so these are the only classes that it’s super noticeable on too.

lightwell, pally heals, druid heals etc. it knocks it back like 4 times on a .1 second cast lmao
Warlocks are still supposed to have their own pushback protection from what i could gather, is just a hidden effect. And as some people said on wowhead comments, it broke sometimes and had to be bugfixed, maybe its whats happened again.

just gonna bump this because it needs to be fixed.

This turned out to be an issue solely with Warlocks and Holy Paladins.
Holy Priest Lightwell is intended to have pushback on it since it’s such a quick cast.
This is being looked at by Engineering and is a code issue not data, so it requires a client/server fix and not a quick data hotfix.

Massive W, glad this is being worked on. Thanks!
