Spell power hunter now sims significantly higher than physical due to high boss armor and the buff to chimera shot. Be warned that Hunters will now be rolling on caster DPS gear.

There was a meme arcane shot spec in era that actually performed fairly well…

So many easy changes that could be made to boost ranged damage by about 25% but instead we get this pitiful dps bump that still has us below ret. Not nearly enough to make a dent in the problems.
- Make Lion a book and add the extra 10% stats as a chest rune option. Not being able to use anything but heart of the lion sucks when you’re the only hunter.
- Move lone wolf to legs, put flanking on gloves and put Beast Mastery on chest.
- Make Serpent Spread talent also scale stings with RAP
- Make Trap Launcher rune scale traps with RAP
- Itemize mail gear with agi instead of AP. So many of our runes and talents scale stats directly. Having AP items only is nerfing our output.
Nobody wants to have to play this bunk spell power spec but we aren’t being given many options.

Your other suggestions are good aswell but I hate lion so much that it’s the #1 issue for me.
Not playing optimally is one thing, gimping your whole raid because you want to have fun is another.
If they are going to give priests something as powerful as shadowfiend on a book, no reason lion can’t be on one.

Lion is already busted enough…it should be a choice you have to make. (I’m already annoyed with it not being an aspect anymore.)
When my shaman gets Grace of Air… which would help it immensely with Crit, guess what it’s going to be running instead: WF totem.
Choices… you can have some without dying.

Do wind serpents inherit spell power?
Will be funny if wind serpents are soloing people again.
Spell power doesn’t increase chimera shot.
That was BC when arcane shot could damage through spell power.
They stopped that quick.
What choice? It’s literally mandatory for so many groups especially on horde. The other chest runes may as well not exist.

Which is the exact same issue? Don’t have to with a feral in your group. Same as hunter. Only get options when another lion/kings source is available.

Yes, it does. In fact, it’s currently bugged to double dip scaling. This is why SP sims so high.

I mean you can just look up the chimera shot - serpent sting spell on wowhead and see the scaling coefficient. Or maybe join the hunter discord.

If you want it on a book, make it something you have to cast every 10 minutes per player and be dispelable…
It’s literally just a free 10% Stats Toggle. (20% for the hunter)

Yeah and the only reason it was put in was to attempt to balance the faction differences and power that paladins gave alliance.

Okay and how many 10 man groups are running 2 hunters? You won’t find that being the majority.
That’s why we are asking for the aura to be a book spell and the rune to remain the 10% self stat bonus. It’s not too strong if it changes exactly nothing to the hunter meta build.
But at least we would finally be able to play something else just for fun…
Tbh I would rather have lion be deleted than kept in its current state.
