Spell not available

Trying to level up Blacksmithing. Got to 515, and all the patterns in my book are green. Bought some of the patterns from the vendor, and when I try to learn them it tells me that the spell is not available to me. I have disabled all my addons and restarted my game and not working. I googled and found one work around that someone had posted about buying a low level pattern in the AH, learn it, and then try to learn the high level plans. That did not work for me either. Anyone else have any other work arounds or ideas how to get this to work?

Since I previously knew the Bloodied PVP BOE Recipes for Blacksmithing, I can’t learn the new ones. It throws a “The spell is not available to you.” error despite the UI not showing the Bloodied PVP Recipes to me. For my character (Rieve-Atiesh), the Bloodied PVP Recipes are effectively unobtainable now. (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=238131/plans-bloodied-pyrium-belt#comments)

Did you happen to know the original Bloodied recipes as well?

That’s really weird; they should have been fixed a couple of weeks ago. Checking into this.

Edit: Oh I see what happened. I verified that the Vicious blacksmithing recipes work after the bug fix but missed some other recipes were also broken.:woman_facepalming:t2:Apologies!

You probably know this, but to be clear, it’s also a problem for Tailoring and Leatherworking in addition to Blacksmithing. Probably like 20-30 patterns total.

Appreciate it! I did check all of the 339 armor recipes and they’re all in the bug, but callouts like this to be sure are 100% appreciated. No one can know everything. :dracthyr_nod:

There seems to be a related bug to the one posted in this topic as a number of tailoring recipes do not appear for players that previously learned the original emberfire/fireweave recipes. Those spellIDs are listed below:

1224213,	-- Emberfire Belt
1224217,	-- Emberfire Boots
1224209,	-- Emberfire Bracers
1224215,	-- Emberfire Gloves
1224211,	-- Emberfire Shoulders
1224208,	-- Fireweave Belt
1224214,	-- Fireweave Boots
1224210,	-- Fireweave Bracers
1224216,	-- Fireweave Gloves
1224212,	-- Fireweave Shoulders

These should be available from the same trainers that the new Vicious equivalents were added to.

While we’re at it, Vicious Embersilk Cape, Vicious Fur Cloak, and Vicious Hide Cloak recipes were never added to the game with phase 4 like they were supposed to be.

Sorry for recasting Pestilance again, but there doesn’t appear to be a spellID created for the 3 recipes mentioned below. The rest mentioned in this thread appears to be fixed - Thank you for that!

When we get Cataclysm Anniversary in 5 years or so we’re all hoping for it to be a perfect recreation and hopefully all of the fixes that we apply now will be worth it later! :slight_smile:
