I prefer it on the pet so I am glad it is reverted. A choice node would have been reasonable though.

It would’ve made everyone happy imo.

just… just add it to ALL pets when you get it. move on with life. this doesn’t solve any issue. the DF changes solved one and created another. now we’re just back to the original problem. SOLVE IT. put kick on all the bloody pets.

Not sure why they didn’t make it a choice node to have it either on the felhunter or on the warlock.

Pretty disappointing.

I really dont like stuck on a pet for few reason.

1-2 Lock pets are stuck into 1 role and 1 role only unlike Hunter pet who got multiples rework during diff expact locks one got none.
2- In end game content People are only using Imp or Felguard for PvP its another story. But thats agains because they are stuck into 1 role only and never been bothered to be fixed

Happy I can use my pet interrupt again, but it should have been a choice node to give the interrupt to the caster or pet. Hopefully they’ll reconsider before going live.

A choice node between having it on the warlock or having it for ALL pets is truly the best and obvious outcome.

Unfortunately as per usual, blizzard will dig their heels into the dirt and make it as hard as possible to get this solution despite everyone asking for it.

It sounds like they did it for PVP reasons, but I don’t know anything about PVP in this game to in any way gauge if that is reasonable or not.

I don’t really understand everyone championing the pet based interrupt on non felhunters as opposed to just on the felhunter. If you don’t want to use the felhunter, you pick the player side of the node and still get an interrupt. If every pet can interrupt then the felhunter loses its identity as a mage killer and there is literally no use case for it.

stop with this boomer outdated fantasy of a felhunter’s identity. Its 2022. INTERUPTS ARE NOT PART OF A IDENTITY.

Felhunters still have a purge. Is that too weak? ok fine buff the purge or add something else entirely.

Succubus had only a seduce for the longest time and it was garbage outside of old school montage videos. Know what they did? they added a perma slow on its basic ability. It was still useless because interrupt is too powerful to compete with.

Why do you think felguard was given a ghetto interrupt on axe toss when the felguard is already insanely loaded in terms of value? A tank pet with AoE, large dps, one of the best stuns in the game, and the only caster with the mortal strike debuff? Because all this still doesn’t outweigh an interrupt in modern content.

You can argue all pets having spell lock would make the felhunter weak and I can agree with that, but the solution to that isn’t leave felhunter the only usable non felguard pet with the most valuable ability.

A choice node with player/felhunter interrupt lets you use any of the other pets does it not?

the issue is felhunter would still be very weak without the talent, thus not worth being used

I thought your concern was people being forced to pick the felhunter over everything else?

My concern is pet equality which has been garbage forever now. I dont want the felhunter to be useless but I dont want its power skewed higher for 0 reason.

This isnt even mentioning demonology still being forced to use the felguard only for the 7th expansion in a row

but still tie us down to the problems of kick on person instead of pet.

putting kick on only us doesnt solve a problem. it simply creates a new one.
keeping kick on fh doesn’t solve a problem, it retains the old one.
only putting kick on all pets actually resolves anything at all.

i don’t know about you but i like for game design to iterate forward not backward or laterally .

maybe that’s just me though, maybe im too hung up on improving gameplay and not pointlessly hamstringing utility to satisfy some vague outdated concept.

it also gives demo a real interrupt for the first time ever. they’ve have .5 an interrupt for ages and now just recently got upgraded all the way to .8 of an interrupt. just let the poor spec have a bloody interrupt for real.

A choice node between player and FH resolves the old problem without creating any new ones. A kick on all pets creates a new problem in that it makes the felhunter even less viable. I definitely would prefer all pets getting it to just keeping it on the felhunter*, but just splitting it between the lock and the felhunter makes the most sense to me.

*edited for clarity, i was distracted.

This is a smaller and easier fix than keeping SL on the felhunter only.

JUST BUFF THE FELHUNTER W/O SPELL LOCK!
