I was watching some raid footage from the latest PTR and it occurred to me there are so many flashy effects! It appears to be getting flashier every year.
Curious how people feel about it

B: Annoying

The raids are about particle effects and moving the right way or being one-shotted? Say it ain’t so.

I think cooldowns should be flashy and important boss abilities. But when there’s a boss shooting exploding waves of color while having all sorts of lights thrown back at him by the raid, it feels like Blizz is doing the equivalent of dangling keys in front of us to keep our attention.
Like “Ooh lookey here lookey here! Ohh you’re so awesome! Wow did you see that??” is basically what the visuals are telling us.
This is kind of how I feel. It’s all about shiny new things it seems.
