…could use a touch up. The new strike animations from Legion look great but pretty much every spell except Death and Decay is using the exact same animation as it was when the spell was first put in the game.
In particular, Icebound Fortitude, Anti-Magic Shell, Outbreak, Epidemic and Death Coil all look pretty sad. Lichborne is pretty boring to look at and Death’s Advance has perhaps the most subtle spell animation in the entire game. Death Grip is… passable.
I don’t necessarily want them completely changed but at the very least made more impressive. Death and Decay was updated to look fantastic while still remaining faithful to the old animation.
I am not a fan of the new SS sound. I do like the new obliterate animation for 2h frost, though.

I very heavily agree. If I’m being honest, Unholy DK probably has the worst of it right now.
Death coil’s animation has honestly aged pretty well, but it’s time to update it.
Outbreak is probably the worst looking spell in the entire game (and yes, I will die on this hill). The dot only has any visual effects when it is applied, and if the target dies while it is on them, and the animation of it being applied is a joke. Howling blast has a neat little burst of frost magic. Outbreak? A little green splash on the enemies it hits, and a little purple swirl around their heads. The animation communicates nothing, and feels like weakly throwing a piece of paper in your enemy’s general direction.
I want to hold out some hope that they’re planning an animation update sometime reasonably soon. Why else would they not bother to update the archaic shadow and frost magic school animations around the DK’s hands for spells like Outbreak and Mind Freeze? What reason would they have not to update Unholy’s animations when Maldraxxus is dripping with animations that they could easily use, and when last expansion, they had the resources to make 2 different animations for over a dozen azerite essences that would only be around for one expansion?
