So just for fun figured I’d finally make a speed set for farming pls content, anyone else have a similar set? How many pieces do you have and is it very noticeable?
My plan is to craft shadowlands gear with Air-sail for all of my slots except those taken up by tier and legendaries so I think each character will get about 6 slots filled with speed.
After that I’ll toss a couple speed gems and call it a day.
If anyone had any other tips I’d appreciate any help, this is kind of my fun new obsession
Your class will probably be relevant if you want to feel fast. For example, DH, druids, and monks are consistently fast. On a DK with base speed of 150%, you may run quickly but you might be better off on a druid with 125% base speed, because you get 30% more from running around in cat form. But if you’re a speedy druid with 150% base speed, oh wowza!
I think the +10% speed crafted gear is currently the best option, especially if you luck out and get a socket. It’s also nice that the gear is acceptable ilvl and can be made for any armor type. Remember that you can get 3% more speed from your cloak enchant, and one speed potion still works at level 60.

Thanks, good point about classes I’m sure I’ll feel it more on some but planning to make it for all characters since I actually use them all to farm something or another.

ditto what you said, plus, look into azerite gear (specifically head chest and shoulders) that has the Longstrider option. When you make your shadowlands crafted set (you can have at least one 262, and the rest 233), try and stack one stat in order to max the Longstrider bonus. Finally, make sure you have the 3% and 5% gems socketed, and any leftover sockets you have, use the SL gem that boosts speed for every SL gem you have equipped. finally, the psychopomp speed potion is the lvl 60 one, and you can also use gunshoes as well (expensive though).

Also equip ripple in space essence minor for heart of azeroth. +5% movement speed. Which you’ll need anyways to use for longstrider traits.

Also, if you can use 2h swords, get Runeblade of Baron Rivendare; although they nerfed the speed it used to give (10%
)

This one kills me cuz i never got it during BFA, so i have no idea how to find or farm the quests to get rank 3
You have to do the wpvp zone killing quests for commendations. Have to get 10. And you can only get 3 quests per week (2 per week back in 8.2). The issue is finding people to kill to even finish. Also I thinking rank 2 heavily requires battle for nazjatar.
Dev’s are actively Taking away and then readding speed sets.
I watched a few from 2 years ago… those speed sets were taken away.
Watched a video from Last year and the green armor speed sets were removed totally from the armor.
The only viable is a mixmash of Heart of azeroth and speed gems
Yes WOW Devs are killing fun but without thinking of it their main goal was to kill off speed runners in instances and I could care less about that.

Sorry, but you can only apply 1 speed gem to created gear.
outlaw rogues can also get a base 30% speed; if you roll night fae, and use dreamweaver’s tree, you can get 70% speed from soulshape (its currently how im hittin 233% on a priest of all classes)
There is a %3 speed gem and a %5 speed gem that can be used together.

Hazelnutty made a nice guide on how to make a quick and easy speed set awhile back.
Oh, and if you’re a Zandalari Troll, you can get a 5% speed increase from choosing Gonk as your Loa with their racial.

For a speed set definitely use the +5% speed gem and the +3% speed gem, they stack. May as well tack on the shadowlands speed gem but it does barely anything at all
I have about 160% base speed in my runspeed set, definitely useful
Really? I like to see that.
Don’t forget hunters for speed classes. They can talent into trailblazer which is a flat 30% movement speed increase when out of combat that stacks with aspect of the cheetah (90% then 30% increase, can be lengthened with a conduit) and disengage hopping with posthaste. Can keep pace with druids, monks, DHs, especially if night fae.
There are socket gems that give speed for each shadowlands gem you have socketed.
