Do you fly from the Seat of the Primus or do you hearth to Dalaran, portal to Orgrimmar and then portal to Oribos?
What other methods has anyone found getting around this abysmal travel scheme of Shadowlands?

If you invest in the travel upgrades, you can hearth to your covenant and take the convenient portal to Oribos
That’s the fastest way. Also, get the enchant that lowers your hearth cooldown…and join a guild with the faster hearth guild perk.

Engineering portal.
It’s the only crafting profession at the moment with utility.
I have the shaded hearthing enchant on my bracers which reduces your hearthstone cooldown by 5 minutes. It helps a little. Then there is the transportation network around your zone from your sanctum upgrades. Rank 3 gives you a portal to Oribos. Unfortunately, it’s not 2-way.
But yes, if my hearthstone is still on cooldown, I will hearth to Dalaran, and then take the portals to Stormwind and back to Oribos.
One could also use the Wrap of Unity to port directly to Stormwind then take the portal to Oribos.

I am working all my toons to get this, there should be one to each zone from your sanctum. I am sure that the will have another grind to get this later…

A portal to each zone would be an awesome addition! You’re right though, there would be a grind behind it. Hopefully not something crazy like 50K anima lol!
Do you guys mean the wormhole? Is it a perma use item or a one time use which needs you to keep making it?

If I’m going to Oribos (or the Maw), I use my covenant portal to Oribos. If I’m flying to one of the other lands, I use the covenant internal teleporter network to Xandarias Vigil, mount up there, and fly the rest of the way.
Porting to Oribos then having to mount, port, and ride to the flightmaster is more of a pain than the extra few seconds of flying from Bastion.

Well it’s a toy so once you make it and use it, all your alts have access to it… but it takes SL engineering of 1 rank or more to use the toy, like all the other portals.

Level up the travel network and get a shaded hearth enchant… you can get a portal to Your sanctum and Oribos every 10 minutes like that
Some good information in here thanks. I was wondering about the upgrades to travel network. I am new to SL and been very annoyed by the loading screen type travel from one zone to another.
Garrison (level 3) to Stormshield to SW to Oribos, when Dalaran hearth on cooldown.
