Speedhacking? Very strange

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this. Was a start of an AV and I was in a group passing by horde down by belinda when I saw this mage suddenly fly up the large hill just before SH bunker (not the road by the physical hill that is not climbable)… They zipped up (on foot) about 3x faster then a warrior charge… No other players or horde where lagging at this time.

I was pinging 50ms to the server and several other players also went “WHOA” did you see that guy fly up here. Ironically when he reached the top his character jus t sorta froze there and did nothing until he was nuked by the group passing him.

It’s been forever since Ive seen speed hacking in wow but this was exactly what I recall it looking like in the past.

Just curious if this back.

I’m guessing he was lagging on his end. Especially if he froze after he zipped up and got nuked.

I might consider that except he was way ahead of where the fastest horde can ever reach at the start of the game… He was about 6 seconds ahead of the best speed intercept could be.

Yes, speed hackers are back. Along with botters, afkers, fishing and premades.

Yeah he was lagging, he was LAG-SWITCHING… it’s an old cheese method used by filthy cheaters to speed hack in Vanilla with out any peeking under the hood so to speak of the Client.

Hmmm, that wouldn’t be detected by Warden? (I understand what you’re referring to btw)

I don’t think it would because there are a few ways those jerks do it and Blizzard has in the past claimed they can’t catch it…

I hope these slimy cheats get a permanent ban.
