What is the largest speed increase you have from only gear and gems?
Not race or class modifiers.
I have managed 25%.
I have a speed set for running through old content.
What is your speed set? I think gear that increases movement speed is a great idea actually

There is a SL gem increases speed by 13 for each SL gem socketed.
A trinket.
A 3% increase gem.

Basically made this set by keeping any piece of gear with speed on it since the beginning of the xpac.
Just saying that’s like a pittance vs what we had with Aggramar’s nikes

33.52% speed stat. Actual movement speed modifier (outside of Shadowlands) is 187.7225%, allegedly . I’ve made mine with crafted Shadowlands gear enhanced by Pure-Sail enhancements (they come with a shockingly large amount of speed), and the cloak is enchanted with Fortified Speed. Two older gems, Straddling Sage Agate and Straddling Veridium stack with each other for a flat 8% movespeed boost, but you have to slot them into low-level gear. Low-level boots can be enhanced with a Minor Speed enchant, which I think is a flat 10%. The rest is from the Heart of Azeroth + three pieces of Azerite gear with the Pathfinder trait. It makes running old content more palatable.

What the guy above me said. Every slot should be crafted with Pure Air sail, toss in a 5% straddling gem, a 3% gem, the SL movement gem and I think you’d have one more gem slot left to toss some random SL gem in.
Enchant your cloak with speed and use the Spinefish speed food so you can randomly pop a trash mob to boost yourself.
Bonus if you’re an engineer toss on the nitro belt tinker.
Problem with Pure Air reagent is that it only functions in SL zones, no where else.
The mount movespeed bonus is only in Shadowlands, but it adds a raw bonus to speed on the gear that functions everywhere.

The 262 crafted gear, specifically on a ring, can add 82 speed. You could also craft a 233 set from ZM with pure air sail extensions on every single piece, which I think would give a pretty good amount of speed.
You can try to find 3 pieces of BfA gear that give Longstrider in the final row of artifact powers. You have to have the HoA equipped, so it only works in expansions before SL.
Any pair of boots can be enchanted with Minor Speed (might be major), which grants 10% flat MS increase.
Straddling Sage Agate is a gem that requires ilvl 50 and up, it adds 5% flat MS, along with Straddling Viridium which adds 3% flat MS.
My outlaw rogue is able to achieve 172% constant movement speed and shes not fully equipped.
My paladin has a run speed of 158% in a mostly equipped set
That only applies to the mount speed (which caps at 220%/430% anyways.
The actual run speed when you’re mounted works everywhere
