Is there any software that I can use to eliminate typing for chat? Not text to speech, I know that exists. My typing is slow, so what I’m referring to is the words from my mouth being translated to text. I know there’s software like Dragon, but will it work in game? Thanks

The UI and Macros forum folks may be of help, as well, as they have a better idea of what third party programs can work (like for multiboxing).
Blizzard recommended Dragon when I asked them for help with my GF’s interface design. She’s had a stroke and is already burdened with only using one hand to play with. Typing, acknowledging commands in battlegrounds or announcing incoming is tough for her.

This is a bit old of a post, but I’ll post anyways.
Windows has a Speech Dictation app built in.
Prior to this insure that your microphone is working.
Ways to do this.
Voice recorder: Type Voice Recorder in the windows search bar, open Voice recorder,
- Record your voice and then play it back.

- To test a microphone that’s already installed:
a. Make sure your microphone is connected to your PC.
b. Select: Start > Settings > System > Sound.
c. In Input, select the microphone that you want to test.
d. In Input settings, look at Input volume while speaking into the microphone. If the bar moves while you speak, your microphone is working properly.
e. If you don’t see the bar moving, go to Test your microphone and select Start test.
Instructions for dictation to Text with a working microphone.
If you have a Windows key on your keyboard, hold down the Windows key + H (Windows key and the ‘H’ Key) at the same time.
At the top of the screen, a dictation window will pop down.
Press the microphone icon and click in World of Warcraft chat to initiate the chat box as you would if you were about to type something and insure the cursor is blinking.
Begin speaking. The words should appear in the chat box.
Press enter when complete and you will have posted your first voice to text chat.
Now go out there and do the Celestials work, as they say in Pandaria.

Havent been able to get Speech to text working in any way shape or form. Seems busted.
This is a great post. I have Dragon Speaking Naturally and it works with the chat box, but I’d rather not work with over the ears headphone with mic. It’s much nicer to use my Logitech camera plus mic and using Alt-H. It works great. I wish I knew this 5 years ago rather than just a few days ago.
