Speculation on WoW 2.0, not WoW 2

I’d never touch another version of WoW unless all of my achievements, collections, guild, friends etc go with me lol

i thought you meant something like what d2r did to d2.
sounded cool.

but idk what you mean after reading the post… class reworks arent exactly something that would warrant a “2.0”

I with the “you exoect them to make a whole new WoW when they been giving us a below average meh these days?” crowd. That’s a big leap that I cannot see Blizzard devs doing at the moment. I wish they could but…

Where? The only speculation I ever see is the hopes and dreams of people on this forum

Never understood people and their wow 2.0 ideas. If Wow 1 is not so great, why would you think wow 2 would be this grand thing?!

First off, never trust anyone who will say anything to get money.

Now there is a rumor of a WOW 2 in the works. It’s been around for about 20 years and will probably never actually go away. Realistically, there is going to be a “Cataclysm” 2.0 that will happen since Blizz has been rehashing old story content in a new fashion, it would make sense that it would happen after The World Soul Saga where they’ve mentioned that the game will change for the better.

tbf the only way to really hit with a wow2 would be to secretly work on it for at least 10 years. otherwise it would also be full of shortcuts and lazy timegates.

to get that grandiose 2004 wow feeling, youd need a MASSIVE amount of content and zones the likes of which you cant produce swiftly.

all the super-casuals that got cozy lately would cry though.

**i’d be down for a split. keep wow1 active and for the casual crowd. not like its a lot of effort… everything is recycled timegated slow and lazy. then pop wow2 for the more hardcore crowd. everyone’s happy

We’re playing WoW 11.

DOn’t you mean wow 22222222222222222222222222222222222222222222

It’d be hard to do that with 20 years worth of content, but not impossible. Sunsetting old zones and giving them a reason to be explored again would be nice, and if people wanted to see what it was like before, just have the bronze dragonflight peeps around to talk to. Like in Undercity.

Every expansion or patch breaks something in some zones anyway.

Id like to reclaim Stratholme, or Gnomer, or see how absolutely messed up Northrend is going to get since theres no Lich King to make the undead not go on a rampage.

That’s what we call “clickbait”. As in, made up crap with a dramatic and intriguing title intended to “bait” you into “clicking” it.
