Ive been experiencing 50ms higher both world and home, is that what you are experiencing too? just out of nowhere higher lat

ya sometimes higher at points. i usually at 16 or lower

Exactly what is happening to me. Wasn’t online on Wed, but logged in Thur to find it happening, and I cant shake it either, no matter what I try to do to fix it.

My latency was pretty steadily between 30-40 for hm and world, now I cant get it below 75 for both.

I was going to get another modem of mine provisioned to test but now i think it wont change anything. Normal for me was 35. Im now 85 avg

Yeah, I have tried everything to lower it. I was going to be calling my ISP on Mon, but I see now that this is not on my end, but Blizzards.

What Isp do you have? Spectrum here

Same for me

3rd here it might be a spectrum thing then

I called them lastnight and they didn’t see anything odd, my router had an update which didn’t fix and removing the router, going directly modem didn’t work either.

I was just going to check that as a last resort, though I didn’t really think that was the problem, since WoW is the only place I am experiencing any problem at all.

speedtests also show nothing odd, still getting the exact same speeds i always get

might be something Blizzard has to do between their servers and Spectrum

Possibility. But that still leaves it on Blizzard to figure it out.

It def feels like their end. my hardware is newer, with all lines new. been 50ms higher for a few days now on my server. If i swap to a dif server where my MS was avg 85 (server based out of cali ), im still 85 which i find odd lol

I will try switching servers when I log on. I tried that day before yesterday, but only tried one other server, will check a couple of them today. But yeah, this definitely feels like it is on their side.

Logging into a server closest to me had the same result. Closer server, same MS.

Then Blizzard needs to give us an answer on this, because if it was on our side, you would be getting it across all the servers.

Yea something is up, should of been a low MS server for me.

This is something that we were originally seeing and tracking on the Overwatch forums here. From what we’re seeing this is mainly affecting players on the east coast using Spectrum. Just looking over this thread it looks like it may not be just the east coast so we’re getting that updated.

If you can we recommend running a WinMTR for about 10-15 minutes during your issues in-game and posting those results here so we can add those to our reports. We do still however recommend contacting Spectrum to help bring this to their attention as its mainly affecting players on that ISP.
