Perhaps. For me, it goes from 7 rotational buttons to 11. It’s still not a lot, but when they’re all on the global CD, you need to make some decisions!
I would argue that prot warrior requires more skill to maximize than bear or prot paladin due to fewer and more indirect tools for threat management. I do agree that most of the difference between a competent tank and a great tank has nothing to do with the spec, though.
Speaking of spec nonspecific tanking skill, I ran into a tank that couldn’t do taunt coordination without DBM the other day. Apparently he didn’t actually know what debuff the taunt swap was for.
I’m not surprised, most people anymore have taunt in their rotation, the others don’t know what taunt or interrupt is.
You can get more out of high skill cap classes in PvP but not so much PvE, sub rogue is a good example, the difference between an amazing sub rogue vs an average one is enormous.
Having said that, by the time you get that good at sub rogue you could have achieved twice the rating for half the effort playing assass or DH.
I agree with the other poster on feral. With the right gear and everything, feral is in a decent spot. It just takes a lot of effort to keep up your DPS with other classes, and ruining the rotation is pretty punishing. I personally love it, and it’s been my main since Cata (when I started WoW), but to each their own. I have not played feral at a high level this expansion though, so keep that in mind.

Completely wrong. If you are wasting GCDs on trash talents that is not minmaxing and not playing your class with a high level of skill.
