Specs for a new computer

With my current computer being broke i cant tell you anything it had but i can say i never could play with the graphics set above 3 even less in raids.
My back up laptop is barely able to play at the very minimum settings at one and cant dragon fly good at all constant freezing. 5 mins to load any loading screen that isnt duskwallow marsh

I found a website that has some decent computers but im so behind on what anything good is nowadays from being out the loop after my dad died i dont really know whats good spec any more. Can anyone give some recommendations for at least a bottom of the barrel build to play at at-least 5. i wanna be able to enjoy this expac the way it should be played.

This is what I have to play WOW: https://nzxt.com/product/player-one-prime

Not top of the line but it gets the job done. Plus mine is a couple years old and has a 12-gen Intel chip. I added an additional 32 GB RAM and a 2 TB NVME SSD for game storage.

Under 2 or 3 thousand but if i use the site i found i can make payments instead of 1 lump sum unless you all have a better suggestion to get one from

FWIW: I have a 4090 and 13900k w/64gb of ram.

Wow barely utilizes ANY of it. My GPU and CPU temps are always in the mid 30°C’s.

What I’m saying is you don’t need to go ham on a crazy build to play WoW.

I HAVE a computer that I paid 2k for and I still cannot play it with graphics above 5.

Honestly I was told with this game, its so hard to tell the difference between 10 and 5 anyway that there is no reason to. Like I can literally turn it up to 10 and play it sure…but i will lose out on so much frames its ridiculous and none of it really being my computer’s fault.

I bought this a couple months ago.

MSI Aegis RS2 C14NUE7-818US Gaming Desktop w/ Core™ i7-14700KF, 32GB, 2TB M.2, RTX 4070 SUPER, Win 11, Gaming Keyboard & Mouse

paired with a 1440p curved monitor.

It does the job maxed on 10 everything.

If WoW performance is your goal, then you shouldn’t be looking at anything other than AMD X3D chips. 7800X3D is the current fastest CPU for WoW but it’s successor will be released in a month or so. WoW benefits from the extra cache more than the vast majority of games, so much so that even the previous generation 5800X3D will beat a 14900k in WoW.

Consider a desktop from Costco. They have some very nice systems between $1-2K that will play WOW very well indeed. And, you can use the system for up to 90 days, and if it does not work the way you want, you can get all of your money back.
One more thing, they also give you two years of support on all the computers they sell.
If you look at Costco item number 1816485, I think that is a solid system that will work well and last for years to come.

and an additional year if purchased with a costco mastercard.

Get twice as much memory than you think you will need. Memory is cheap and easily pays
for itself

Since World of Warcraft was recently added to Geforce NOW, why not sign up for that and you won’t have to buy a new PC. Though, you did just miss the special they had for 50% off.

From what I’ve heard you want to stay away from the last few generations of Intel CPU’s.

Before you rush out and spend cash, consider building your own pc. its cheaper, and you get to make it how you want it. i’ve done 3 MSI builds, and everyone i have built for friends has been hands down top notch, and was cheaper than buying a pre-built pc.

If you like building your own computer, this is a computer I built earlier this year.

Yeah I think 11th was the last generation that didn’t have the current problem. Basically 12 and later have a design flaw and every single cpu is slowly but surely destroying itself. I’m not an expert and I’m sure there are people here that can elaborate further.

I bought a pre-built MSI and it was the worst designed PC case every made, literally. I had to remove the front and top panels because the glass was only a few millimeters from the case fans and prevented them from doing anything at all. Cpu/Gpu temps dropped by over 20c when I did this. The water cooler failed within a month, 2 case fans died within a few months. One of my gpu fans is failing. I will never buy msi again.
