New to shadowlands expansion and the hunter class. Currently level 23, about to get the passive that allows me to tame exotic pets. Do any fellow hunters have any pet recommendations for a beastmaster or MM hunter (currently swapping between the specs to learn both). I know they all have different passive effects, but I mean are there any specific beasts from a certain dungeon/area I should focus on getting that might be really good to have for endgame? Currently rocking a boar and dragnhawk (starter beasts).

Clefthoof is the only pet worth a damn atm.
Scalehide for MM.

Know you can’t use exotic beasts as any spec other than BM.
Other than that, make sure you have a ferocity pet for bloodlust/heroism. You will be expected to use it in group settings.
Other than that, google petopia and find all available pets to you liking.
For solo play, clefthoof, corehound, scalehide or gorilla. They have leech and a tough defensive cool down skill. Other pets are better for other things.

Def should be your animal companion for the lols.
Thunder lizards and Ankylodons are the toughest ferocity pets you can get.
If you aren’t BM.
I use spirit porcupines on my BM hunter because they have a heal I can use on them or myself. I don’t know if they are actually any good or not but they are definitely one of the cuter options.

Just keep a ferocity pet that you can summon if there aren’t mages or shaman. It’s rare that a group relies on a Hunter for that and if you click it early, they will get very upset.
Someone already said corehound, about the best thing besides a clefthoof.
