Well hey, I really hadn’t thought that it might be difficult for people to find my name. Literally never crossed my mind. And honestly, I don’t really like to group with randoms much, so the added difficulty in finding me is a plus!
What’s the difference between shift clicking on items and people’s names?
Wish they would force a name change and/or no longer allow people to use them. Its stupid and annoying.

Because it makes me feel special.
It really doesn’t bother me. It’s much easier to Shift + Click, anyway rather than having to type out everyone’s names. I do it to names even without Alt Codes
So people stop bothering us!

Because people want not want to be easily whispered.
Or they Really wanted their name to be “Gorbash” but some level 1 that hasn’t been on in months owns the name. So they created Gørbash. That is why people do it.
Your like or dislike of someone elses preference doesn’t matter and shoulder effect their character regardless of your discomforts or feelings.

Player names in games these days runs the whole gambit of stupid/annoying, unimaginative & wannabe-witty, but whatever floats their boat I guess. Traditional fantasy “RP” names like what you find in a novel or series are to corny & boring I suppose.
