The special assignment active now in the north east of Isle of Dorn is currently bugged. The Titan is just asleep and flying towards it, it will phase out of existence for a second. So, it might be a phasing issue. I dunno.

I just completed that WQ. after phasing in and out a few times the rook spawned in and I just had to fly at the titan a few times. Definitely seems bugged though.

I am not even getting the option on my warlock. I think it may be you need to have finished the quest line that introduces the mission.
So I had to phase in and out a few times to get the mount then I flew out to sea a bit and found the Eroded Titan Construct at 78, 26.5

Can confirm, I was able to do this after coming back. I did this on an alt, that doesn’t have the campaign complete, though the main does have it complete.
After attempting to phase it a couple times and nothing working, I went looking for other alternatives online while just standing next to the mount. After about 2 minutes of reading comments, my quest just completed on its own without the titan even being hostile…lol nice one.
Mounted actual dragon riding mount and it showed up, might be something with old mount types
When you all say phasing in and out, what exactly do you mean? How do I phase in and out of WoW??? On my screen, the titan is just asleep… Dont see a mount …?
I relogged, saw the mount, and was able to complete the quest.
When we say phase in and out, we mean that sometimes you can tell where the edge of a phase is. Like way back in WotLK when it was first introduced, the edge would be super obvious, as the tech was new. Now, you just look for where NPCs pop in and out of existence.
For this, there’s a little hill/mound by the water where you’ll see people sitting for this quest, fly there and if you don’t hear the lady talking about this WQ, fly back towards the tree line and then back. This can sometimes force the phase, but may need a few repeats or may even not work.
I only have 1 WQ and 1 DR race so I didn’t get enough WQ to unlock it.
Maybe I’ll get more this week before it expires.
