I’m curious as to what is the least played DPS spec in the game, and what one is the most underperforming? I’m a bit of an anti-meta player in about any game I play so I was wondering what these are and where I might find this information.
Probably WW. Nothing to do with its performance; it’s just a really goofy class that sticks out like a sore thumb in an game centered around western RPG tropes. The fact that the whole class is married to the panda race really doesn’t help things either.
I’d have to disagree. Monks I believe last time realmpop was a website were the least played class, a subspec of it as well makes of lot of sense. But I feel like dead dps specs of other classes are really low too.
Like, on a personal basis I’ve seen more WW monks than like, survival hunters
Fair enough. Monk might be the least played class but WW might not be the least played spec.

Subtlety is a strong contender, although the two Hunter specs not named Beast Mastery don’t have much representation. Pure DPS classes clearly tend to play the better spec if there’s a meaningful difference in DPS.

Survival hunter, subtlety rogue and Arcane mages are the few that stick out to me.
Affliction, Windwalker, Feral, Subtlety, Survival.
All very underplayed specs.
Marksman Hunter. I can count on my hand the amount of times I’ve seen one. Not counting myself, or course.
Feral, WW, Survival, and both Shaman DPS specs are the ones who’s absence I notice the most. Affliction and Subtlety could be low too but I honestly never really notice what spec a Warlock or Rogue is playing.
i’ve really never seen the point of the other two rogue specs when they aren’t fotm
what’s the identity or benefit of choosing anything that’s NOT meta?
it just all feels… “rogue” regardless
