Hey all, I’m rerolling Paladin , played one for 16 years, but have a quick question.
When leveling up should I do tank? Heal or dps for dungeons ? What do people normally take paladains for ?
I can’t see people inviting a ret pally but I could be wrong .
What do y’all think ?
Ret > most things.
While leveling, it’s always nice to have a Ret pally in the dungeon group.
level ret, respec to holy at 60. simple as 
Level ret. Stay ret.
Do what I always do as a pallie.
Go deep Prot and refuse to tank instances.
That’s only funny if you’d tank them otherwise.
You were funnier on reddit.
Get a holy priest when they get holy nova, prot spec, group up mobs and just kill tons of mobs at once. Did this in original classic and tbh it was pretty broken.
Everything is funny in my head.
So just go ret? Shouldn’t have problems getting into dungeons I assume. Good to know everyone thank you for the info .

The only people who aren’t going to have trouble getting into dungeons are tanks and those who befriend tanks.
Lack of tanks it seems so I have been tanking. Ret out performs solo target by far, prot can AoE farm and be more versatile. I use stam/int gear and it seems seals scale better with 1-handers.
my man I want to give you some good advice for a HC pally as i’m playing one right now.

honestly you’re going to need that healing more then you know, once you get to level 22 you get concentration aura (35% spell pushback), couple that with spiritual focus (70% spell pushback you can cast indefinitely: and if you have multiple mobs hitting you at once its no problem. You can tank in holy at low levels, consecration (aoe) and heal yourself with no push back equals insta aggro, no you don’t get SoC but thats not that big of a deal, you can still deal damage and keep heals on you.
prot doesnt take off until level 35ish or 40 with holy shield, Ret is chance on hit for most things, wheras you know holy has certain damage and massive heals.
IMO, i’ve played all and holy is the best for survival.

Get seal of command, 5% crit and 8% speed. Then go holy for cons and pushback reduct. Then finish ret.
At 60 you can keep it or go reckoning for soloing.
If you wanna raid, go regular 4/5 veng with kings.
Imp might is trash for leveling, you’ll use wisdom
Get engi for grenades, get magic candles for ranged pulling
ret is strong until the mid 40s.
You spec ret while leveling for soloing and then heal in dungeons.
