I think mine is the Waking Shore.
I can’t really say why. I think it’s because it looks like a place the Horde would live. It’s all rocky and volcanic, there’s thunder lizards stomping around, giant humans to slay, but it’s also lush and green. It almost gives me a Jurassic Park vibe for some reason. Like I’m in some ancient, primal realm.
What’s your favorite??
Edit: Someone named “Pharazon” liked my post.
Thank you, fellow LOTR nerd ;]

Ohn’aran Plains
I thought the area with the mounds and swirlies was so pretty when I first discovered it, but then I found out it was a burial ground

I think they’re all fine, none of them really stand out to me all that much. Maybe Thaldrazzus?

Love flying through the trees of the Azure Span, the crystals on snow, gorgeous zone.

Tend to agree. Visually probably my favorite but I really dislike a lot of the quests in the zone.

The Azure Span. It reminds me of Grizzly Hills.

If it wasn’t for all the fire and lava, Waking Shores would be in the hunt.
But the plains for me also.
But then, I always liked Mulgore and Nagrand to, so there’s that.

I have to go with the Azure Span as well. It’s a good mix of forest, magic and snow lol. I love Iskaara and the Tuskaar. Their vibe and aesthetic is soothing to my soul. Can’t forget the ottuks either!

I don’t think any of them. It’s not that they’re bad, it’s that they simply never tried to put in the levels of fantasy and detail that went into some of the best. This game called for more staid design this time.
I’d like to see Outlands with the better quality graphics and larger size that Dragonflight introduced. This game would be quite different, I think, if our first introductions to flying were Dragonriding flappy bird and the game worlds were designed for it.
On the flip side, ducks. And I suppose a vote for Zaralek Caverns if I must.
If I had to choose, bc I personally dont like the DF zones…
prolly plains. Simple and easy to navigate.
Valdrakken and Ohn’ahran Plains. I love the greenery and various trees and water areas. It’s just really peaceful.

I like Azure Span. It’s the first place any of my alts go. The purple, arcane, snow. . All of it. The whole expansion should’ve just been that lol

Definitely Ohn’ahran Plains. There’s a night spot on a mountain that looks beautiful when it storms/rains in-game.
Ohn’ahran Plains.
Even more so with the Ardenweald skybox buff.

I like Ohnara primarily because I feel each of the other zones, save probably Thal-whatchamacallit have amazing variance in topography within their little footprint that it feels cluttered and busy. Ohnara is primarily a plain with a lush forest in parts of the east and west.
I miss when zones had 1-2 unifying features throughout. Each zone in outlands - while high-fantasy in many respects - had its own color palette and was instantly identifiable from screen captures for my take.
Wrath primarily too. Each zone’s name made sense. Fjords in howling fjord, a tundra and hot spring-speckled landscape in boring (err borean) tundra.
