Spare parts farming groups - a question

So, I started hunting blueprints, mechano-cat colors and music tracks to complete my Mecha-done achievement and I see a lot of Spare Parts farming groups on LFG. Most of them say “2x4” in the title. What do these numbers mean? The “4” I’m guessing it’s the number of maximum party members (Idk why they don’t take 5 people, though).
Can anyone explain it to me?

It’s 2 groups of 4 people, I think for maximum tagging benefits?

Oooh it makes sense, since if it were 5 people the mobs get tagged. Thanks.
