Anyone know when or how this guy spawns? Been waiting on the guy for like 12 hours now.

Retail or Classic? You’re posting on a Retail character in a Classic forum.

If it’s Classic, what is the name of the quest? What is the exact name of the NPC? “South shore crier” is too vague. I don’t recognize that phrase, but I’ve been to southshore a lot in Classic.

south shore crier is specific and nobody seems to know.
but wowhead comment taken from allakhazam:

He spawns when the little event happens at Southsore, then:

Southshore Crier says: Guards to your posts! They must be after the Magistrate again. He must be protected! They could come from any direction!
Southshore Crier The Southshore Crier grabs the back of his neck and his eyes go wide.
Southshore Crier says: Assassins… save… th… Magistraaa…

Then he dies.

Classic: After a few minutes, Shadowy Assassin (level 38) spawned. The local guards made quick work of them. The Magistrate did not appear to be in any real danger.

I just copy pasted the comment on the Classic Wowhead page regarding this NPC.

I simple google search can do wonders, took me 5 seconds. You waited 12 hours…what are you doing?

that timing. like 3 seconds.

I checked every 3 hours on the hour, going by server time.

Make sure to check near the GY for the mobs as well.

Thanks for the info… finally got that quest after like 15 hours.

I’m in the same situation as most of you guys. I’m been wandering around for hours and nothing happens.

Also, I’ve trying to reproduce the steps as lots of YouTube vids, but still, not a damn thing occurs.

Also, I tried re-hearth-ing in the Inn located here, in Southshore, and guess what? nothing happens either.

Neither the Southshore Crier spawns, neither these Assasins, as it should occur.

What does these Blizzard guys need, to have this quest available for good?

I know most of them are busy with the Retail Version…

But then, what’s the purpose of having released this version, if not a damn finger will move, about this fact?
