Source of magic on self (prevoker)

Can we please be able to cast source of magic on ourselves at least in content where we are the only healer (m+ / arena).

Not fun/ intuitive to have an unusable spell. Next patch it gives access to 3% healing/dps to a healer. Makes no sense to non be able to bing that group utility/boost to overall group damage/healing just because we are the healer. If that is the case, just move the talent to dev/aug trees.

I would love to give myself Source of Magic. One can dream though.
With the talent change it would be pretty nice. It’s basically a druids innervate, but we can’t use it on ourselves lol

exactly, its similar to innervate and yet druids can use on self. I don’t see why we cant use on ourselves. They can half the mana if used on self if they want to incentivize using on others in raid.

100% agree, would love to be able to use on self, or have some other mana regen tool.

that would be really cool honestly! hope it becomes a reality

Agree. Just make it passive though imo. Like the monk avoidance buff.

I don’t see why it’s not self-castable, but I don’t like changing it to a passive buff.

There are better healers to cast it on in raid and that option shouldn’t be removed.

It should just be a passive like mana spring for shamans.

Just gives the 3% buff and mana procs to all healers in your group/raid including yourself.

Ezpz. Its pretty damn weak as it is.

If it felt more meaningful or impactful I’d agree and would enjoy having to manually focus someone with it. Especially with a cool visual

I mean it’s not about not feeling impactful, it’s massively impactful. You have to press it once an hour and it’s a buff…

It’s more that if it were a passive buff then you couldn’t have the option to use it on a different healer when there’s more than one in the group, which makes the buff itself lose flexibility and value.

How does it lose value, it would gain value.

Its not impactful at all.

It’s a mana regen buff connected to a 3% damage and heal buff, if you don’t think it’s impactful I don’t know what to tell you (besides that you’re wrong). There’s no world where a buff would be able to remain as strong as it is on one target when applying it to 4 targets, and diluting it to give it to all healers is absolutely a nerf.

It loses value if it’s automatically applied to the evoker because in a raid, that may not be the best target for the buff. If the boss has a DPS check, you may want it on a disc priest to maximize the damage buff. If there’s a hard heal check, you want it on whoever is pumping the most hps. On a long fight, maybe it’s going on whoever is really struggling for mana.

There’s absolutely zero benefit in removing that flexibility by locking the buff to the evoker, and there’s no chance they quadruple its value by giving it to all healers. It should absolutely be self-castable, though.

Should definitely be self-castable. No reason for it not to be.

Might help mana economy for blossom builds a smidge.
