Sound Replacement Path

I’m looking to edit the sound of the dragonriding mount’s idle time. Currently, if you sit idle for too long, it starts flapping and roaring. And that’s also true of everyone else around you; you can hear theirs too.

There’s an existing supported method for replacing sounds. We simply have to add the correct folders into our WoW directory and include the appropriately named audio file. The game will load and play those in place of the default audio.
Example: \World of Warcraft_classic_\Sound\Item\Weapons\Gun\GunFire01.ogg

I found an addon to replace the gun sound in Wrath Classic with that of a suppressed gun. That’s the only reason I’m aware of this. I don’t know how to find the path for the dragonriding idle sound.

Anyone able to lend a hand?

Find the sound you don’t like, take the ID and put it into the addon to mute it.

Thank you for that. I tried being stubborn and just lowering the volume, but there turned out to be too many of them for me to stick with that approach.

The landing hasn’t really bothered me. It’s just the idle squawk. I’ve noticed, however, that the green (Windborne) still has a sound I can’t find. The amount of squawking heard around town has decreased dramatically, so I’m mostly happy with muting the sounds above.

Thanks much! I previewed and added the Windborne IDs. /mountspecial is no longer letting the green mount make a nuisance of itself.
