Both of these things should be account wide unlocks.
Soulshapes are 100% cosmetic, have no power tied to them and just a for fun thing. Making them per character unlocks seems nonsensical to me.
Quite a few are just RNG drops from things with no player agency, like dropping in a calling reward.
Protoform Synthesis recipes…
All the things you can craft are account wide pets or mounts.
All the materials to craft them are either bind to account or fully tradeable.
What purpose does it server for recipes to be unlocked at the character only level?
The mount forge already tracks if you’ve crafted something account-wide.
Every time I get an RNG drop for one of these two things on a different alt I find myself feeling annoyed rather than rewarded.
Two purely cosmetic things that take a significant time investment to fully unlock and for some reason it’s done at a character level despite conferring no power or advantage to a character.
Even if you disagree about the Soulshapes, which is fine if that’s your opinion, there is zero way to justify the Protoform Synthesis recipes not being account wide. Nothing you craft with them is locked to a character and all of the mats are account wide or able to be sold on the AH. It just creates extra busy work if character A has the mats but character B was the one who got lucky with a low % recipe drop.
