Haven’t cared much for the details of SL, I just wanna get out of it as soon as possible, but Soulshapes are fun. I just wanna know if they’re character-bound or shared across other alts when they join the covenant?
Like if I have the Shrieker soul on one toon but I join the convent on another, will they automatically have the Shrieker soulshape?

that would be a nice change for blizzard to make though maybe someday seems low priority but nice
How does Blizzard plan on handling that when soulshapes become just a toy then?
i actually haven’t used the toy yet maybe they did change it to be account wide the last time i went to the changing-forms person they had less than my main’s form amounts
I mean it would be hella cruel given how rare many soulshape drops are to only have it bound to the character who got it.
For some dumb reason Blizzard made literally every other covenant collectible usable on alts besides soulshapes. Why? They’re only cosmetic, and there’s literally like 70 of them. Like if I take the time to get all or most of them on my main I sure as hell should be able to use them on any night fae alt. C’mon Blizz, please?
The toy only seems to activate whatever shape you selected in the Heart and is character specific. A non-night fae character gets the first soul shape, the vulpine fox thing. It’s just a graphic overlay that doesn’t have run speed attached. I’ve only seen the quest for it in the Heart though so I guess you have to have a Night Fae who has activated the NPC to even get the quest for the toy… maybe? Not sure on that.
The quest is there to get it now so you can see for yourself.
I hope they look back on this stuff and make it account-wide.
There’s a lot of other cosmetics that also have the misfortune of being per-character unlocks too, like Mechanocat paint colors and Pocopoc.
Does anyone know if the shapes can still be collected after Dragonflight releases Nov 28th?
I haven’t heard whether this is the case or not. We can still get the music scrolls and illusions dropped from old stuff so I would expect the same to apply to the soulshapes. I’m going to be optimistic and assume that’s the case until Blizzard bursts my bubble.
