If I’m understanding correctly, the soul fragments that Spirit Bomb draws in count towards the 10 for activating Soul Furnace. In order to avoid wasting Soul Furnace stacks, you need to do that math of adding the stacks to the number of soul fragments available to see if it is 10 or higher.
This is annoying to do when the stacks are in the buff list and the Spirit Bomb icon shows the soul fragments.
Is there an addon that adds these numbers together or shows Soul Furnace stacks on the Spirit Bomb icon? Open to other solutions as well.
Can you elaborate Marmota? Given that you continue to gain stacks while the buff is active, your point about missing the buff “a lot” doesn’t make sense.
When you absorb a soul fragment you get a stacking buff called “Soul Furnace”
When you get to 10 stacks of that buff you get the damage buff called “Soul Furnace”
Both buffs have the exact same name.
The damage buff Soul Furnace gets over written by the stacking buff Soul Furnace and when that happens it goes away. So, when you get more than 10 stacks you only have a couple seconds between the time you get the damage buff and you absorb another soul fragment to use the damage buff on Soul Cleave.
Ive experimented with it on a training dummy and picked up the 10 soul fragments by running over them and in that case the damage buff will last the full 30 seconds.
I made a weak aura to track this. It tracks soul fragments + soul furnace stacks. It glows when you have at least 4 soul fragments and the damage buff will be applied to spirit bomb.
