Why has this instance remained in this state? Its far and away the hardest dungeon by a mile. I dont even think there is one I would compare it to.
Every pull is hard. It has multiple minibosses with kill mechanics. The second boss on Tyrannical is a known group killer.
And the droplets! The droplets have the affixes!
Everything about this place is pain and suffering. I don't think I have timed it yet this expansion and I would say most of my runs die by second boss, often on it.
I constantly am in dungeons and wonder how much fun it would be and what a great dungeon it would be if Blizz had been less concerned with creating an Esport and more with pleasing their player base. Its a shame.

No kidding. Should they be balanced as well or no? Is this a thread saying 'oh no DUNGEONS are too hard' or is it saying 'SotS isnt balanced?'
Its the latter. Shake your head.
This is the only dungeon I have yet to find a solid group that can time even a 10 here. I have a 1.3k friend who times 14’s and this week did a few 15’s; he has over 30 10-14 shrines completed and none were on time. It’s a nightmare in high keys compared to others. Coordinating interrupts for those adds by the skip is a nightmare too.
That said I missed the timer in an 11 yesterday by a little over a minute purely because our healer got that wonderful d/c bug where it keeps d/cing when you log back in

Shrine is garbage and everyone hates it for good reason. It is by far the hardest dungeon and the timer is insanely short for it.
I agree its one of the harder dungeons, I don't think the mechanics by themselves are particularly more difficult than others but they are more punishing if you fail them, some interrupts especially.
Bosses and mini-bosses are also not particularly hard, but again interrupt rotation and coordination matters a lot for those. Checking my M+ history I can see it definitely took a few failed attempts to finally get a clean run on a decently high key, but tbh every time we failed it felt like our own fault: Someone accidentally face-pulling things, some missed interrupts, getting hit by the boss's cleave, etc.. Never really felt like the dungeon was too difficult as much as we messing-up or doing something dumb every single run.

It also has more mechanics. It seems every pull is demanding in SotS. Compare its trash to the incredible simplicity of Atal or ML. What other dungeon has trash like this? An incredibly punishing place.
The fact of the matter is I time places like Atal or Freehold even with a screw up or two but SotS is a disband constantly because not only is it hard, but the timer is unforgiving enough that a couple screw ups and its over.
The other day I timed a +11 Underrot with several deaths and minimal DPS. You absolutely cannot do that in Shrine.
Meh, I like Shrine :)
With some affixes it can be a literal hell.

I mean, if you did mythic+ dungeons, which I can tell you don't, you'd also acknowledge shrine's tuning is out of proportion with other dungeons.
Why are you even in this thread when you don't do high end content?
