So...Slime Cat wasn't enough for you Ian?

So, in a further move I can only describe as completely idiotic, LFR gear & M0 Gear is getting downgraded to blues going into Dragonflight. Way to further push people out of the stuff you claim you want them to do dev team, bravo, just bravo. I really takes some level of work to be this completely and utterly Tone Deaf

-edit- So, after doing more research on it when not just on the john at work, appoligies where they are due, I saw the article and had only skimmed it and it gave the appearance of more than just a rarity down grade, as, typically, blues are lower ilvl than purples, and I missed the part where the ilvl was still preserved it was only a quality tier lowering and nothing else had changed, so my appologies for the knee-jerk reaction on this without doing the due diligence I should have done. That said: while yes, the power is the same on them, getting purples intrinsically feels better than getting blues (just like getting blues feels better than getting greens) so I do still think it’d be kinda silly to make that change just for the sake of making it, but that’s more a ‘feel’ than a mechanical type change.

We have a thread on this already and apparently it was just a bug, because people are reporting that they’re back to being purple again, lol. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

?? Yeah this is a non-issue.

Is it though? Because I’m in beta and saw a raid where only the last 4 bosses give purple and I remember posts about this too. I don’t think it’s a bug.

It only adds flavour. It’s literally not a nerf to anything unless you’re disenchanting this gear.

I honestly don’t care what color the text is, as long as it feels like I’m making progress with my character.

Is that not what we do on forums? If not, I’m leaving. I was promised riots and a good time…

I don’t care. It’s literally just a color. Wowhead even mentions it’s likely a bug due to the ilvl. IIRC, this same bug existed in Shadowlands beta.

I care more about forcing Group Loot in LFR when even they admit it likely won’t work, and we know it won’t due to past experiences in Dragon Soul.

You’re…worried about the color of gear?

It’s not the color, it’s how effective it is with your build/class and the ilvl of such gear. Sometimes the effect is more useful than the flat out stats you receive.

As primarily a casual PvEr, the change does not faze me in the slightest.

I saw the thread title and wondered what the hurricane did to the game before I realized the OP was talking about Ion.

So this was much ado about nothing then? Figures.

Not getting epics from dungeons or LFR honestly is not going to hurt my feelings.

Once upon a time epics were raid only, and I honestly prefer it that way. It made getting them feel more cool.

Sensationalism at it’s finest.

I’m afraid the remaining slime cats were spread into the wind. Bits of them have landed across the globe.

No doubt creating a very satisfying squishy plompf sound as they landed.

Or perhaps, through the example in that gif, a nice BWOYOYOYOYOYANG

The only thing this affects is enchanting mats. Why are you arm-flailing over it?
