SOS - Fire Ele Not Working

Past 2-3 weeks my Fire Eles have been refusing to attack for some reason. Any suggestions as to why this might be the case?

Spamming pet attack manually (both by hotkey and by clicking the button) yields no behavioral change; pet remains a potato.

This has worked for years and just stopped randomly 2-3 weeks ago; now my pet summons and just does not acknowledge my ‘attack’ commands at all (hotkeyed or manual click; just stands next to me like an idiot). Manual activation of Immolate works, yields 2-3 fire blast casts thereafter, then pet stops again. “Move To” command functioning normally.

SOS.

In the past unselected PE and reloading fixes this issue.

I’m having that issue too. I can use primal meteor, but it wont auto or attack. When I dont take primal, the fire elemental does do its attacks. I play resto. So it’s not a big issue. If I take storm elemental. It does its rotation. Just not fire ele :frowning:

  1. Make sure when using PE that assist is active on pet bar and not passive.

  2. Make sure skills are highlighted (if you turn auto taunt off on EE then auto cast on FE will be off).

  3. Make a simple macro. (You old heads remember start attack macros to every spell). Make pet attack macros for LvB, LB, CL
    #show lava burst
    /pet attack
    /cast lava burst

  4. When possible summon with a target selected. Also summon them in range of their aoe ability (sometimes they don’t move up to cast the aoe. I’ve had to move up, /pet passive them. Then /assist them again. Thus just comes with exp of playing ele.

  5. EE will auto aggro by not attack if you don’t have a hostile target chosen. Especially as resto. So have a target and summon or summon and cast a dmg spell.

  6. For mass pulling with EE. You can target yourself, mount up, and round up as many enemies you want (or he dies). He will aggro but not taunt or attack. He can be slowed/dazed so you might have to pull mobs back to him.

#3 has been the biggest improvement to my ele pets performance. But all of these together have made shaman (especially ele with PE) verst successful.
