Sorry, but I don't group up with people who aren't Trust Level 3

If I can’t trust you, why would I group up with you?

Forum io is now live.

It’ll be a month or so before non mvp’s get trust level 3 as well. :joy::joy::joy:

If all you alts aren’t trust level 3 you obviously aren’t dedicated and don’t know what you are doing. So stop bothering me!

but… aren’t you still a trust level 1?

If group requirements have taught me anything, it’s that as the leader, it does not apply to me.

One of the MVP’s did the math and the earliest any of us plebs can reach lvl 3 is next January.

But…but i’m a Nice Orc :frowning:

Can’t argue with that!

Are MVPs actually trust level 3 already?

Kinda silly if that’s the case, many people that have been on the forums for years are working to break the limitations imposed on them.

I’m sure raider IO developers already have it in the works.

Yes, they are. Many MVPs post in Tech and Customer support and need to be able to have high post count limits, make links to drivers, support articles, etc. Quite a few also make and maintain guides that they need the TL3 formatting for, if they want to make them shiny. It also lets them even make Wiki posts/guides! Considering the level of review MVPs go through to be in the program, it is even stricter than the automatic reviews the forum software uses.

Also, keep in mind the average forum poster does not LOSE anything once they get to TL1 or 2. The old forums did not allow outside links, had reduces formatting, etc. The only thing TL3 gives is NEW features.

Haters gonna hate

I don’t question that tech support MVPs should be able to post unrestricted.

I question why many people that have been part of this community for years by paid subscription suddenly have to wait to get their full privileges back. A lot of the MVPs are community-oriented too, much like an average poster is.

I think this transition could have been handled better. I get that there are built in things with this new forum setup but I also think they have more control over it than we think.

But you are not Trust level 3

How can I trust you?

The old forums did not have any of the features that track metrics used for “trust”. There is no easy way to review thousands of previous posters and evaluate them. To do this, the mods have to make a separate “group”, manually review the post history and account status for everyone, put individuals in it, then set the trust levels for that group. MVPs have already been manually reviewed and are watched carefully. I really don’t think they have the manpower to do that for everyone else - think thousands. If you are in the group with regular forum posters you just have to wait for the forum metrics to reach the right stage - in about 3 months. No easy way around that really.

Is there some time constraint that prevents people from spamming to trust level 3? Or just the daily like cooldown?

@Haunter
There is a sticky thread about the new forum Syntax and Trust levels at the top of the forum. It is time gated in addition to other metrics. So you are correct, people can’t spam their way to TL3. :cat:
