What is the proc chance of earthen writ?
higher than sophic devotion?

Is there a reason not to? Is the self damage bad or something
Shadowflame is only arguably good for dw. It’s maybe not even better then sophic because of sophic and the trinket bonus this season.
Most people think it’s useless pad from what I’ve gathered at least for fury warrior. Can’t speak for other dw classes.

earthen writ actually seems to have a significantly lower proc rate
tested extensively and i could regularly get 30-40% uptime on sophic, but i could never get earthen anywhere over like 20% usually much lower
Ran it on my ne boomie for a bit yea its only worth it if your dw
Is esrthsn and wafting same chance ? I feel its barely up. I might swap to sophic.
Hard to go wrong with this considering it should be 20-25% stronger in pvp.
And since our haste is baseline 80 percent now basically. I just like more haste…
And to think that it’s only the second season.

Didn’t shadow flame get nerfed this patch , keep hearing that it did

I keep hearing that people have heard that it got nerfed but haven’t seen anything particularly substantive. I’ll go test it again right now, though. 
Edit: Oh, hitting dummies has it ticking for 3k then going to 1.5k when I tag the pvp dummy. Maybe it’s halved in pvp now. Queuing a skirmish.
Update/conclusion: it appears to deal 50% reduced damage in PvP. Last week it was definitely doing 100% as confirmed by checking some old details.
