It’s not restricted to blind, heartbeat period shouldn’t be in TBC as reported multiple times during beta.

June 1st btw.

Cry a river, build a bridge, get over it.

Heartbeat resists are stupid no matter the WoW content.

I mean I totally see the hilarity in the OP rogue class complaining about this, but the argument stands on its own.

Patch 2.2.0 (25-Sep-2007): Duration against PvP targets has been reduced to 10 seconds.
Patch 2.0.1 (05-Dec-2006): In PvP, Crowd Control effects will last no longer than 12 seconds instead of the full duration, with a chance of a heartbeat resist. Casting a lower rank polymorph on a target that is already under the effect of a higher rank will cause an error message and not consume mana.

Patch 2.3.0 (13-Nov-2007): Blind is now a physical (no longer a poison) attack. [Reagent] requirement removed. Now shares the same diminish category as Cyclone and is now diminished in PvE as well as PvP. Previously blind was a nature attack like poison. Inv misc ammo gunpowder 06.png [Blinding Powder] is now a Grey-quality item (“vendor trash”) which can sometimes be found in lockboxes obtained through Pickpocketing. There is a tooltip on the item that explains why Blind no longer needs a Reagent: “Once favored by rogues as a blinding agent, it was abandoned for more readily available resources… like dirt.”

As far as we know, heartbeat was removed from PVP when duration against PVP targets was reduced to 10 seconds. Additionally, Blind changed from a poison to a physical effect and physical effects do not check for resistance. Therefore, if the client is based off of 2.4.3, there should be no possible heartbeat on Blind.

What you quoted only says it will last no longer than 12 seconds, says nothing about removing the heartbeat resist.

Heartbeat resist checks resistances, physical effects cannot be resisted (outside of stun resist mechanic which is a separate entity).

Thanks for your input.

Personally, I think we should see heartbeat dismount effect. Let’s spice this game up a bit.

Wait… that’s not a thing is it??? It absolutely was not a thing in 2.4.3, infact I don’t ever remember heart beat blind being a thing ever.

You can dodge blind (not sure if that’s actually the way it was in real TBC) Because in Vanilla it did start out that you could evasion blind because Blind in early Vanilla was a melee attack, but then it got changed to a range attack that could not be dodged.

Then again Evasion got buffed to also include half the rate on dodge value vs range attacks… so perhaps that’s what is goin on?

You’re right it should not be a thing PERIOD, and if it is then there is a serious problem because…

Patch_2.0.3) (09-Jan-2007) There is no longer a random chance the effect of “Sap” will end (i.e.

so if there is a heart beat break of any kind (these were absolutely removed in 2.0.3 AKA very early TBC, then Blizzard screwed up as usual and gave us a defective product.

This would not be a surprise given the very low quality of a produce they provide now.

you are correct, it should not be a thing, Heart Beat Break on sap was absolutely removed in 2.0.3, along with Sheep and fear and any other CC that could RNG break on HBB.

It is certainly a thing. Lost 2 matches last night @ 2550+ rated due to heartbeat breaking my blinds. Here’s a video clip of one of the matches.

Ewww it is a thing now, ok I some how have gotten very lucky then. then again my partner on a different team was complaining about this and I thought they were just using skull of impending doom vs him and we were just really unlucky with that kinda cheap tricks.

Looks like just more TRASH quality from Blizzard, but it absolutely should not be a thing since HBB was removed from the game in 2.0.3…

in before some Blizzard fanboy or some blue claims “but its in the code” when databases don’t always include hot fix patches as shown by comparing OG game play VS what we got in Vanilla Classic / TBC Classic where things are buggier than a free hostel.

You have to be seriously bad if you are losing as an undead rogue.
