Then don’t charge to tank, go farm and make 3x as much. What was the point of this thread outside of changing up topics from DuAl SpEc and other recurring topics on here. Clearly there’s more to this story than you’re letting on. Did you charge a group and it failed miserably and not because of the Heals/Dps but because of YOU?

dont listen to the weirdos, back in classic i farmed my epic mount and my raid consumes weekly off of reserving righteous orbs in strat in return for tanking it, i did top dps, i solo carried the dungeon p much with my bre and rank gear, and people got all the pre raid bis they could ever want, sometimes i got 0 orbs, sometimes i got 6, everytime id spam for it people would cry and cry and cry, its simple, if they dont like it, do not join the group. do you, tanks are allowed to make money.

and that kind of salty attitude is why you wont find groups
If you are a Tank, in my level range, and you’re running the same dungeon as me, you should be running it for the same reason all of us are - you’re after gear, XP, or quest completion.
Umm, most of them have no need whatsoever to run the dungeon, they are the ones charging, to help out. Don’t wanna pay, don’t. To me it’s money well spent even more so than tipping for food or a port.
If you are worth your fee you are sturdy enough to not drain the healer. If the healer is going oom each pull its because you are a paper tank. Why would anybody pay for a paper tank? Would you be ok with paying for a rental car and they pull up with a Power Wheel? I don’t think so.

I’m good at making friends, I’ve never paid a tank (or charged as a tank) since vanilla and never will. Maybe you make some gold, but if you stopped that for a second you might find a few pals you like running with instead.

tanking. one of the best spec’s I think. never charged anyone because its not a job feeling to me. I tank because I love to tank.

If the tank is geared and skilled yeah I’ll give them some gold for their time. Leeroy the paladin who isn’t even defense capped and sporting greens and blues isn’t getting paid for it and they can flip off if they expect it.
