I’m going alliance this time but was horde in vanilla. Trying to remember if there were roaming elites in alliance lowbie zones that you had to look out for. There were the roaming horde NPCs in Loch Modan. Any others? The suspense of having to constantly look over your shoulder was pretty cool.
Lmao, yea the horde Runners, never had a quest to em. Son of Argual in Silverpine where tricky too if you hit the south to much. The alliance Runners, in the southern barrens, as well. and that freaking tree in Ashenvale almost got me a few times.
Stitches in Duskwood has killed many low level Alliance players.
There’s also Rexxar wandering around Desolace, though I always found him a lot more avoidable since the zone is wide open.
Short answer, No.
Stitches is a bit of a stretch, and there are also a lot of horde questing areas that have sections that are friendly to alliance players.
I remember the Alliance patrol in the Southern Barrens. Wasn’t paying attention and got jacked by them. They offered a quest if you managed to kill them.
I thought Rexxar was non-aggressive unless specifically targeted?
Loch Modan had ones roaming on the east side are the ones that stick out to me.
Stitches… shudders with 1000 yard stare
From what I remember, as well as what Classic database websites say, he’s hostile to Alliance.
Though I guess even being red maybe he didn’t engage. I always kept my distance from him =P

Lol stitches was my favorite part of duskwood. Yeah I ate a lot of dirt in front of him but man, the whole zone got involved. It was great. And the dread that you felt when you finished the quest chain and find out you just let stitches loose. Oh man, that was panic.

Nothing like the Sons of Arugal. The SoA were particularly special because of their frequency, and the fact that you’re in a wooded area. So, like Bigfoot, they could just pounce on you with no warning. You running around at, what, CL 13ish, and a CL25 Elite jumps on your and beats you in to paste.
Mor’Ladim is notorious, and has carved many a notch in his belt of dispatching unwary Alliance adventurers, even if his range wasn’t comparable to the SoAs.
I don’t recall anything of note in Loch Modan. There were some dwarves by the dam, and, of course, the Ogres. But nothing really pathing in the wide world looking for inattentive adventurers.
There was that drake in Tarren Mill – but he was easy to avoid, and not purely alliance.
I don’t recall anything in the Wetlands, but never really ventured in the far east section of it. There were the elite dwarves up near Arathi, but they were in a camp, and didn’t patrol.
No, the SoA were special in that regard.

I think he’s “hostile” in so far as you can attack him, but unless you do, he just wanders past you. But yea… I would always just walk around him haha.
He’s no Stitches that’s for damned sure
