After watching the cinematic for Dragonflight, is this BEFORE the Dragons were killed in previous expansions ?

The expansion is taking place after. The Dracthyr only awoke recently. Nozdormu is recounting events.

The Legacies Animations will recap story events that happened before the Dracthyr awakening.
Likely we will learn next why Dracthyr were created and put into stasis.

With Nozdormu and Emberthal? This is just as the Dracthyr are joining the Horde / Alliance. Emberthal stayed behind at the starting zone to look through the creches for any survivors that may need help getting out.

Well yeah DW wanted them that way. A mix of dragon and mortals. Rather than something way more dragon or way more mortal.

Which dragons? And which part of the cinematic? It starts back during the first legion invasion, 10,000ish years ago, then jumps forward to the present.
Or are you talking about the new Legacies videos?

Pretty obvious it’s throw backs, but I can see how someone can get confused by this.
I have been around this ip since the first rts and have been following the lore since.
Wow’s biggest lore problem is that most of this stuff is not in game and relies on exterior pieces to complete the stories
