I’m extremely confused right now. Tried to repost some profession equipment pieces on the auction house for the current price and for some reason the items I’m listing don’t show up at the top. They’re showing up behind other players’ posted items, somewhere in the middle, which shouldn’t happen. Doesn’t matter if I try to post them manually or via Auctionator. When I’m doing an Undercut Scan it’s also showing on every item that I’ve been undercut.
My items are only at the top of the list when I’m changing the price to a lower amount. A few hours ago everything was still completely fine. Does someone else have this problem too?
The only time I see this happen is when I’m competing with the AH bots. They cancel scan and repost faster than any human can, so the moment you post something, it’s immediately reposted/buried before you even have the chance to check your listing. So it looks like there’s a bug, but actually you’re just getting bots posting so quickly after you that their listings are bumping yours down within nanoseconds. Which also explains why you only see your listing at the top if you change the price, since the bots use algorithms to only repost using certain price ranges. So it takes them slightly longer to adjust when the minimum price goes below what they’ve previously been reposting at.

Certain addons can change the display order, especially if length is considered. Perhaps it’s an addon?
I know what you mean, but nobody’s posting items right now except me. Profession equipment isn’t a very busy category anyway, not much competition there because equipment isn’t region-wide.
Nope. That was my first guess. That I maybe clicked something in the UI that changed the display order or that Auctionator is broken. But the same is happening with addons deactivated and using the standard UI.
I’ve had to deal with bots when posting battle pets which are also not region wide. So I wouldn’t be too quick to dismiss it.

I’ll gladly dismiss it because, as I said, nobody is posting anything right now. The one person that’s on top right now for Lapidary’s Bismuth Clamps for example isn’t even online and haven’t been for the last hour I’m trying to get a workaround.
And the items I’m posting do show up at the top and stay there only when I’m adjusting the price to… like 1 silver less. This wouldn’t be the case if other players were posting something, because they would just go with the new adjusted price then.
