Something went wrong with a file

Since 8.3 launched, I’ve encountered a similar problem twice, and I’m not sure what’s happening. “Something went wrong with a file. We’re not sure what caused it, so please try again or click the code below for more information. Sorry about that!” BLZBNTAGT00000840 is the code given to me regarding the issue. The last time I got this issue I reinstalled the game and it seemed to fix it, but this is the second time this has happened, and I don’t want to have to reinstall it every time I have this issue. Looking for advice on how to fix this, and to either prevent or handle it going forward.

This may be the Voice Proxy service running in the Task Manager. Right click the bottom bar on desktop. Open Task Manager (you may need to click the “show more” button). Look for Blizzard Voice Proxy - right click on it then click “end task”.

A simple restart may not turn that off.
