Something needs to be done about wizard cleave resolve

really fun queueing into frost/demo MLD running resolve trinkets. almost 0 counterplay to the mass amount of damage they can do nearly unstoppable.

kept qing into venruki playing frost/boomy with these trinkets and they were doing 10k DPS each in 3v3.

this trinket is extremely oppressive when used by locks and frost mages compared to any other class.

how about instead of nerfing the trinket, fix demo lock design so 80% of its dmg isnt baked into one ability. Frost as well, ~70% of dmg is coming from spamming 1 second frostbolts. Really awful design on both of these classes and the resolve trinket brings it out even worse.

What’s the most damage you’ve seen a single grounding totem eat?

I’d say from a mw pov when im healing some heroic tschi or kitty caster cleave healers are the most cringe dogs known to man who get to do whatever they want.

I think it was a 23 or 24 mmr ele fire hpriest and the priest played like a headless chicken all game standing close to his mage getting trained but it doesn’t matter because caster cleave and hpriest doesn’t have to cast a single spell.

Nerf hpriest

wdym, just right click the mage, hold w and run him into the dirt lol, kite deathborne out and then rinse repeat for 2 minute intervals. Playing poorly doesn’t mean you can’t solve the issue.

Fun tip for resolve for everyone; Things like monk disable root remove it, I believe grapple for SV does as well, so I’m sure a ton of specs have some sort of interaction that removes it as well.

u cant do that easily

the frost has obxnious rng roots, and even just a literal 4-5 sec window of casts or either of them is enough dmg to draw significant cooldowns. not to mention if the frost mage is actualy good with positioning and can even wall you off if ur not careful. gl trying to kill through guardian, 2 blocks, serenities, etc…

Just stand behind pillar til 50% damp then dunk on them

My guy I play comps like KFChi, without an hpri or rdru. My comp is complete dog and I have 0 issues being able to run them down while only having to trade CDs to match. Not once have I ever seen MLX be genuinely scary yet. There’s very brief windows where it has to be respected, but that’s through understanding and responding. A K A TRADING.

Edit: And only recently have I learned that disable removes resolve. So I was playing this whole time wasting para into resolve because I didn’t know this.

I got to 3k mmr as kfchi it’s not bad but your right it lacks something during intense damage windows.

I prefer that over rshaman or kfc with a priest tho maybe even Druid vs wps.

It’s a bad comp, the comp has historically been a counter to RMP and can’t even hold a candle to it because you don’t have the defensive utility WW requires in the comp. It comes down to the same arguement of why play with a WW when 6 other melee specs exist.

The comp is extremely counterpick reliant. Get a good matchup? +16. Get anything else? -16.

I’ve only played the comp at 33-34mmr in multiple iterations, so maybe I just haven’t adjusted the playstyle to the season though. Comp is just extremely lackluster w/o hpal.

Frost mage class design is so horrible it shouldnt be viable for pvp.
Same with BM hunter.

Went like 0-5 against holy priest / aff lock double resolve yesterday, enemy priest mana stayed at 100% while i oomed.

Def felt quite rough but I’m sure we could’ve played for damp more effectively.
