It was funny for a bit, but it’s getting old. People are holding zones hostage and making southern EK unplayable. Stormwind is basically consistently off limits.
How do you hold a zone hostage with 1 NPC dragon? That’s quite a feat.
Kite the dragon around quest hubs, such as Lakeshire.
Seems like a) there would be a lot of zone with no problem at all and b) the part with the problem would be easily identifiable with a slowly moving dragon and a hunter or other kiting class running from said dragon.
So… holding a zone hostage and making a continent unplayable sounds like a bit of hyperbole… because the slow moving, very large, easy to see dragon, with the also easy to see kiter, can only be in one spot at a time… and generates quite a bit of noise/commotion.
But if that’s true, then OP’s deaths would be his fault, and that obviously can’t be the case. It’s clearly a problem with the game that needs to be nerfed. /s
Don’t worry, OP.
T-shirtGnome is going to get them all banned.
Personally.
But in the meantime even though it may not be in a leveling guide maybe move around a bit in the zone or change zones to avoid big ole fat Terry from B-lands?
Avoiding a dragon is completely unavoidable if you’re logging in to it or landing at the flight point that it’s currently attacking.
But a smart guy such as yourself must have already thought about that, right.
It’s okay… Jesus loves you, anyway.
I just read that bum fight in the other thread.
Yes, under those specific circumstances (and almost no others) a dragon death is probably not your fault. (Did you know you can log off instantly while on a flight path? So if you’re paying attention… the dragon won’t kill you!)
I’m sure a smart guy like yourself didn’t need me to say “but of course, there are obvious exceptions” though.
I’m sure someone loves you anyways too.
I don’t think mobs load in that fast or that far away though. Players don’t even load in that fast when I’m landing in SW.
I’m not sure why you’re defending such childish behavior.
Tfw the game is about 2 opposing factions yet Alliance are literally killing their own people.
Historically accurate for all civilizations of humanity.
Some paladin annoyed me, so I got snarky back at him.
teremus runs waaaaaaay faster than the speed of a normal player and has a 45 yard AoE aura that can easily 1 shot anyone questing in these low level zones (does up to 600 damage per second). since blizzard installed the official hard core aspect into SoM this is absolutely griefing and zone disruption imo. its almost impossible to avoid at lower levels. if a hunter or mage standing on top of an inn in darkshire killing lowbies or a hunter or mage standing on top of the cage in gadgetzhan ganking is bannable and considered griefing and zone disruption then this should be no different.
Contrarians being contrarians. The forums are infested with them.
case in point
I honestly don’t care if they change it. I’m not really involved with either the kiting or the SoI/HC challenges.
What does annoy me is hyperbole. So I call it out when I see it. A mob with a respawn timer that long, that can be seen from so far away, that can only be in one place at a time, isn’t holding entire zones hostage or whatever.
It’s annoying, and probably more mean than they’re going to keep in the game. It’ll probably get changed. And I don’t really care one way or the other bout that. But I’ll absolutely make fun of people who try to tell me “entire zones are being held hostage” or acting like there’s nothing that can be done to prevent the death in most cases (yes, some will be unavoidable. Many more will not be.)
Personally, I think the mind control/flagging trick is more exploitative and has less counterplay.
Oh, my gawd.
Drama queen LOL what exaggeration.
I’m not sure why you think a video game isn’t the right place for childish behavior.
