Harder bosses are harder, news at 11.
Asking for damage to be lowered so people can ignore the mechanic essentially is not a good change.
Could also ask for different spawn positions.

It’s a good change if the mechanics in question are inherently flawed by design. They changed how Viq’goth works compared to BFA because that boss had such massive issues on this front throughout that expansion (now, the boss is still bad and that knockback needs to be removed yesterday, but still), and that means they could change how Skarmorak is designed too.
Blizzard has had absurd amounts of feedback that these sorts of bosses are atrocious design because of how aggressively they scale with key level yet they’re pretty persistent about these sorts of fights. The change you’re suggesting makes Skarmorak harder at all key levels (when the boss is still plenty difficult, albeit not as hard as the other boss I discussed in there).
Any encounter with an add is not flawed design. Stuff involving adds lead to exponentially longer kill times because of the nature of the fight.
Brackhenhide hollow and totem for example.
So just because adds exist, doesn’t merit changing the mechanic so they can be ignored.
I mean Ions in charge right? This is the guy that ran elitist jerks and that’s his mentality. M+ I don’t really want to have more in common with mythic raids than dungeons. I preferred the way it used to be. A dps race.
and you’re a real blood wolf, right?
All key levels? not sure on that. Because if two crystals don’t explode at once, I’m sure the fight is easier.
Can’t both argue that making crystals have more hp = harder fight when two exploding at once is the current issue.
and they didnt use the wasted s4 DF to do these test changes… foolish, do they really have a leader?
They did test changes, and found it satisfactory. Else we would’ve gotten 2-10 dead key levels back.
I’ve seen a guild called Seal Cub Clubbing Club. I can assure you that none of their members club seal cubs.
Plus, Elitist Jerks is, like, the quintessential late-CE guild. The guild’s fine, but they are by no means on the bleeding edge of progression; hell, there’s a running joke among the Mythic raiding community that Ion’s guild was the metric for when hard bosses would start getting nerfs because within two weeks of them getting to fights like N’zoth, SLG, Sire, etc. those bosses would see substantial nerfs.
EJ is just that: a name. That guild’s contributions to actually teaching people about the game back when WoW was very much in its infancy cannot be denied.
I’m pretty sure they are talking about the historical EJ not what they’ve been doing since Ion took over game design. They used to be a lot more high end relevant in the early days of wow. While their forums were one of the places theorycrafting really started in a group think way. They were in fact Elitist Jerks.
1.5 month long beta rush is how you get these outcomes.
Elitist Jerks is the guild that nerfs wow bosses if they get stuck on it.
That’s like saying I smelled my own fart and it was ok. Meanwhile the rest of the room is gagging and making for the exits.
Yea this m+ season is agony compared to the last 3. it feels extremely overtuned compared to s2 s3 and s4 of dragonflight, which in my opinion were not too bad at all and i never even thought once ‘this isn’t fun.’ i actually liked m+ more than raids in df broadly, so im sad about this bcs i got KSM in the last 3 but im thinking of forgetting it this time around
i’m too lazy to type up everything i dislike but i will say challengers peril is actually infuriating and the new xal’atath affixes are pretty annoying too. the one this week is such a pain on bosses, especially movement heavy ones like stitchflesh and the second last city of threads boss.
the only ones that make me not want to scream are dawnbreaker and ara’kara funnily enough. the bosses and trash on those feel comparatively easier than the rest
This has got to be the least fun in M+ that I have ever had and I’ve played since it got added. These dungeons are miserable with a group full of guildies, I can only imagine how horrific it is in pugs. I’m flat out refusing to even attempt pugging.
“Blizzard, we don’t like Tyrannical or Fort, please just delete them”
“WE HEARD YOU LOUD AND CLEAR, NOW EVERY KEY HAS ONE OR THE OTHER OR BOTH. ENJOY”
Because it’s rather standard as far as BFA (don’t remember much about Legion.) That S1 is harder than S2,S3,S4.
This is so far one of the most fun seasons that I’ve played in.
Only matched by DF S1.
Good for you, so anyways it’s still really freaking bad.
Having them always apply is the same as deleting them. (Which is only for +10 people.)
The others get even easier content.
If that’s true then fair but also like why
Can’t make things easier for people if they don’t get harder first, that’s my theory anyway.
But things were too easy in the past.
