not sure if this is a known issue
another rogue in this bg is breaking my stealth without seeing me or doing anything to me, combat log is empty, they are outlaw spec.
im assuming some aura is breaking my stealth no damage or spell on me, stealth just goes away, and this one rogue is always there.
i dont think they are cheating, they werent very good and died really fast every time and im fresh 60
edit: next bg its happening again and looks like another outlaw rogue nearby when stealth breaks
Iāve been gearing as assassin and noticed today in a normal CN pug that my stealth would break any time a buff got applied near me (battle shout, fortitude, arcane intellect, etc) could be something similar. Definitely a bug that I hope will get addressed sooner rather than later.
Iām also getting knocked out of stealth much more often now.
Itās laughable how something so important hasnāt been fixed for years. Canāt expect much from a small indie company I guess.
I canāt comment on the OP but my Rogue was getting knocked out of stealth every time an aura / raid buff was applied to me, specifically while I was Assassination using Subterfuge. Changing out of that caused the problem to disappear, and talenting back into Subterfuge did not reproduce the issue. /shrug.
I retired my rogue after stealth breaking so much in BGs. No idea how or why. Some times I would be around nobody and my stealth would break. Such a frustrating thing
Yes! Bistow Faith, random heals, battle shout, multiple random friendly spells are all breaking my stealth!
If you are venthyr running Token of Appreciation from the Theotar soulbind it will pull you from stealth. This may or may not be your problem. It happens if healed or buffed, hots included.
Since .5 it is happening like crazy - like at least once a bg. Sometimes someone just straight looks right at me while stealthed and opens.
Extremely frustrating.
Post in the bug forums and not the rogue class forums, or else itāll take them forever to fix. Iām literally the only one who has posted there about this bug.

Thought I was crazy, this was happening to me on my rogue in a Gilnaes. Thought I was pressing something strange, or there was a DH around, but now I realize something else is afoot.
I was Sub, if that mattersā¦ Nothing else special that i can remember.
I keep coming out of stealth multiple times! Makez no sense!!! I donāt have to have any debuffs and I will just come outā¦ Fix the bug!
If you are near a flag sometimes the bonus honor aura for defending a flag will cause you to lose stealth.
Honor Among Thieves PVP talent will make you lose stealth when near teammates and also keep you in combat.
If your teammates cast a group wide buff that can cause stealth to drop.

I also noticed this exact issue. Itās CONSTANTLY happening specifically vs. outlaw rogues. My friend and I were in Maldraxxus and saw an outlaw rogue unstealthed, and we kept walking near him and broke stealth within maybe 15yds. we would runa way and stealth and come back, same thing. it was almost as if we were running into a wall that broke our stealth, but once we were in the āauraā or away from it, we were fine and could stay stealthed.
Iām not sure what could possibly be on outlaw rogues doing this, but this happens in bgs, epic bgs, world pvp. Iāve been defending the solar sphere in ashran and afk on a pillar and get pulled out of stealth. guess who was near me? an outlaw rogue.
Yeah. Iāve been playing Trashran a lot today to farm honor, and I find myself getting knocked out of stealth regardless of spec. I would venture to guess from what people are saying that itās related to soulbinds.
Happening a lot these days. My first guess is something related to Venthyr soulbind and conduits, or possibly the ādagger in the darkā pvp talent.
Blizzard has to code some of the beneficial buffs to not break stealth. That is something they usually fix by mid expansion. Sucks but it happens with every expansion with a new rental system and borrowed power system that comes into the fold!
I opened a bug ticket about this as well. Happens way more since the patch it seems.
Feels like they have it all backwards. Only a few specific buffs/auras/debuffs cancel stealth, so it makes no sense to have them all do it by default and then manually flag 99% to not touch stealth.
Stealth needs a rework. It functions as an invisibility, instead of a sneak. There has to be a better way.
