Something i have noticed about Void Elves

I’ve seen these responses on many the threads asking for more classes for void elfs. But here we are talking again about why they don’t have more access to other classes.

Then combine the fact that there were countless threads on Highelfs/blue eyes people are probably just tired of Void elfs being a topic. They are also the only allied race so far to get mentioned in new customization which is probably because it is the exact same model as Blood elfs but still probably irks people.

Especially when compared to some of the other allied races and even some core races they have a fair amount of customization when creating a void elf.

They’re only missing four classes and those four just don’t fit the void theme at all. I know blizzard has stretched lore on some things but it was/is usually when it was vague. They’ve made it clear Void doesn’t play well with others but they have to have some classes.

2nd generation DK’s where ex-paladins.

Humans should never be able to be druids and I have no faith in the story since that happened.

to which the response is unless they are retconning the entire lore of the void no nature based class would dabble with it and as has been discussed to death here the difference between an paladin and a priest is such that a were a void infused entity take the light in them like a paladin they would explode…violently . thems the facts its blizz’s world until they change it the answer will be no

If gnomes can be apart of the LF costumization, then you can play as a “gnome” pally.

So instead of paladins then perhaps shamans will work, the elements of azeroth had worked for, if not alongside with, void forces before. I don’t see why they can’t be shamans if they recruit high elves from the hinterlands.

My dear. Worgen are a druid shapeshift. Of course becoming a worgen enhanced my druidic abilities.

I know, but there is a deep irony in what you said.

Then kindly tell your detractor buddies to stop using “muh LotR meme” as an argument. Gygax is just as dead as Tolkien.

Why would I tell them to stop saying what is true?

elves are inherently …they think themselves above the kind of self depreciation necessary to properly serve the elements. add in that the elements themselves are incredibly fickle to the point that they completely abandoned their greatest servant because he corrected what he perceived as a mistake.

FTFY. GD is half-populated by negativity trolls who only browse here to “save” WoW from other people having ideas and thinking new things are fun.

Things those trolls have said “no” to recently:

  • A level squish
  • Character customization
  • Vulpera as an AR
  • non-purple Void Elves
  • blue-eyed Blood Elves
  • SMF returning

They basically think literally nothing should ever happen, until Blizz announces it, then nothing BUT THAT should ever happen. Honestly, it’s the sole reason for the toxicness of GD. Give me a forum with flaming, trolling, and off-colour humour any day over one where people only read threads to figure out a reason to say “no” to the thread creator.

They can’t even say, “I see where you’re coming from, but that would have X consequence, which would affect people in Y way.” They just say “no”, or “you already have Z, so quit asking for X!” or my personal favourite, “I have Q, and if you had X, that would RUIN Q FOR ME FOREVER! Quit trying to take away Q from me!”

All of these responses are useless and should be what the mods crack down on, but Blizz seems to be fine with having toxic, negative forums.

And? Nothing says that all plate-wearing priests are paladins. But paladins absolutely are all plate-wearing priests.

I wouldn’t care. I don’t play races based off of lore. I play race/sex depending on what I think looks best and has the best animations for any given class.

People on these forums and other places on the internet derive pleasure from trying to deprive other people of what they want. You see posters do this in basically any thread asking for things no matter what it is. It has been particularly bad in the high elf debates these days as the people opposed to high elves have been dealt a blow with the skins and eyes. They are desperate to poo poo anything else that has to do with elves.

I’d actually play that.

But a Void Elf paladin makes even less sense than Forsaken paladins.

I guess parents hate their children because they tell them no, and keep them from getting what they want.

Why do you want to ruin other people’s fun who may want to play their favourite class on their new favourite race?

Dude, enough. Lore is important, even if it’s background lore that has no relevance to the story. It’s called WORLD BUILDING. Even the tiny little details matter, as it all adds up. The details are what matters, it’s what makes the world feel alive, almost real. It has nothing to do with people trying to deny you from having the things you want. Get used to it because in the real world people are going to say “no” to the things you want for MANY reasons, and 99% of the time it won’t be because they just want to deny you.

For the record, if I had my way, Ogres would be the goblin racial mount as well as a playable race, Nathrezim would be on Horde, Vulpera wouldn’t even exist, and neither would DHs. But I don’t go around demanding established lore be retconned (even though both the ogre things are actually part of the lore) so that I can get my way at the expense of others. I’m stuck with furry rodents and thieving edgelords, and continue to remain woefully lacking in dreadlords, and I accept it. Buck up and accept the fact that void elves can’t get paladins, or go back to Fortnite.
