I seriously need some help with this. I can not for the life of me figure this out.

I need help figuring out how to make a group to use auto invite.

I’ve even tried contacting blizzard and they said that they removed the option to use auto invite but I still see people in game using the auto invite feature when making groups but for whatever reason I don’t have the option to use it for myself.

I imagine there’s gotta be some kind of addon or something? I know there something I’m missing but I can’t find it and it’s driving me crazy. Someone PLEASE help me with this!

Blizzard only allows auto invite for purple world quests like the world bosses.

“We here at blizzard want to make it more difficult for players to play together” -Ion probably… Circa Legion expansion.

in what content are you trying to use this feature?

Is that the thing where you set it up that if someone whispers you inv they invite you to group?

Dear OP,
They did remove the feature, however it works if you are inviting people to a world boss type encounter.

The only way you can auto invite people to something is to create a calendar event and have them sign up for it. Then at the event time, you can click one button and invite them all into the group.

Blizzard removed the feature because checks notes people were using it to do world quests too fast in Legion. As everyone knows, not wanting to have your time wasted by a boring quest, and wanting to do the quest with other people in a convenient way, is a cardinal sin in Blizzard’s eyes. So they shut it down.

For most elite world quests you can still use auto-invite, because they are specifically designed to waste your time no matter how many players you have doing them, because world bosses scale up to the number of people in your group, and -also- maybe their ILVL.

I loved that feature. I can’t imagine why they dropped it.

#ENGAGEMENT

Back in the days when the time that people spent doing stuff was a metric that they used to track what content was popular and reported it as #engagement in their shareholder reports, so the developers went around with a machete to the golden geese of their playerbase to extract those shiny eggs of #engagement wherever they could and purposely designed everything to take as…long…as…humanly…possible.

On the plus side, they don’t seem to be doing that so much anymore. On the minus side, The early Maw where you couldn’t even use a mount and would get abducted and set back to a reset point and killed while you were trying to do stuff and four-stage Shadowlands WQs were like the ultimate example of this, so it really wasn’t that long ago.

I never understood how they could claim the Timeless Isle was such a success when that’s all there was to do! I hated it (did it on a pvp server) but there was no other content at the time.
