-previously-locked FOMO content like the wrathion questline and challenge mode will still be inaccessible so that cant be the reason
-mists of pandaria leveling is still in retail AND is very fast-paced so alts cant be the reason
-the cosmetics are like, some recolored yaks and a hat? so that CANT be the point of the event (right???)
to me, it really looks like blizzard are just boosting the EXP rate from MoP quests and adding some funny gems to the gear. cool i guess but why? like im not even asking a rhetorical question, i genuinely do not understand the point someone please explain it to me
i would actually be excited about this event if Holly Longdale didnāt get our hopes up on Twitter about this being āeven betterā than CM returning. as someone who would like more difficult casual content to be added to the game, im pretty underwhelmed.
Itās unlimited power gains to have fun. Think Torghast powers amped up on all of your gear to own everything in the face for poops and giggles, while getting to buy low droprate stuffs from a vendor.
Well thereās like 32 mounts total that got datamined. So thatās something to hunt after. They might not re-release the original stuff, but thereās recolours of the phoenix, a model I very much want.
Iām not going to explain something that at this point in time is pretty self explanatory, because I donāt think the event is for you judging by this post.
Iām assuming the legendary was cut because the war campaigns (required in the legendary questline) were cut since it involves traveling outside Pandaria.

Because we play this game for fun and because we like to collect stuffā¦so Blizzard gave us another fun limited time event with a lot of stuff to collect.

ya i read the wowhead posts. im aware of all the cosmetics and whatnot. it just seems like, not much to get excited about? its just stuff we already have but in a different color.
my confusion comes from the fact that we can already do this content right now if we want to. the difference seems very minimal from what i can see, but i guess that could change when timerunning launches. if it really is just āweāre adding new cosmeticsā then thats cool but like, i kinda wanted something more meaningful to do than just leveling in MoP again.
Did you not read the bit about powerups and changed loot rules and accelerated raiding and literally any of the other parts of the article except cosmetics?
