I look through reddit as well. This place used to be popping during the nights back in BFA but just dead now. It’s a shame.
SL and the migration of anybody who liked this game as an RPG happened. Now it’s mostly just M+ and raiders, and all anyone really cares about are NUMBERS.
It’s like a tax office in here.

It is a little wild to me how people have done everything they possibly can to make the game feel like work. I’ve done it too, to an extent. Pushing high keys and midcore 2300ish pvp week 1 is truly a miserable experience, but I do it every single season and hate it every single time.
Then ultimately I quit until the next major patch cycle because I can’t even stand the thought of logging in.

The mods and rules are overly strict.
To me the game has never been more fun. Follower Dungeons and Story Mode Raids mean I can see the whole story without dealing with PUGS (I can’t do guilds because of real life issues) and Delve access to the Vault means I can gear up like I never could before.
WoW is now the best it’s been since Wrath.

Delves are one of the best things they’ve ever added 
Fun for alts, no toxicity, gear for all. Good times.
In ways I totally agree. The community feels more fractured than ever, though. But, I can’t stand Discord and Twitch culture, so I’m pretty far removed from things that I “should” or am “expected” to be participating in.

Agreed. I am in a guild, but it’s a social guild. We’ve never been a big raiding guild, so sometimes even in a guild you don’t get to see the whole story without PUGS. At least until a couple expansions later, when it’s trivial content.
And yeah, I dig follower dungeons and story mode raids and delves.
I started playing in WoD. So, I’ll concur, but only from WoD.
